These 3 formatting codes work: {img], [color], and [size].

I couldn't even FIND the search function for a long time. Then I noticed a faint gray magnifying glass hidden in the blackness up by the Facebook, Twitter, etc. icons that I never use and just ignore.
What was wrong with the simple word "Search" that worked so well in the past? On a web site, an attempt to be mobile friendly (even an attempt that fails, such as this one) should not mean being unfriendly to computer users.

BTW, I eventually found a way to see the list of private messages that had been hiding from me. Unfortunately, when I click on the title of the latest message in my inbox, I get the following error message:

I totally agree Doc. This forum is definatly harder to navigate after the upgrade in my opinion. I've always viewed from my iphone and never had a issue with the old format. This mobile friendly design is going down the path of several other forums I used to visit but have become so hard to navigate I rarely do anymore. Maybe in a few days it will get sorted but I'm not holding my breath.

I like your avatar, RaleighCraps ... although I would suggest trying to just use the middle since it comes up so small
re the redesign, I see little changes that are helping. The font is bolder and the background not totally white. The new posts list is longer. Keep it coming, change that background altogether.

I decided to try looking at the new site on my phone once again. Well, it seems that I really can't get to the PMs on that device, if the only route is via clicking on my name. On the phone, my user name is not visible to the upper right -- it's as if that's off the screen, and I can neither scroll nor resize.Quote: DocOK, now I found the private messages -- it seems I have to click on my own name in the upper right corner then look for the "messages" link.

I've never seen a forum where the main section or information (in this case the gambling forums) is 2 1/2 pages of scrolling from the top.
The recent posts, top posters and latest blog posts takes up way too much space at the top. The sidebar might be a better spot for these.
The Off Topic section should be way at the bottom, not at the top. The name Off Topic should be hint enough that it shouldn't be at the top.
If the information is going to remain at the top, I don't see any need to see the top 10 top posters. 5 would be good and put back the newest members section.

I have the same issue on my phone as well; iPhone 6. If you edit the address bar with the desired URL, it works, but navigating to the desired pages seems to be not an option for mobile users.
This feeling is heavy, makes my body ache and I'm ready;
To fall into the sky and I see now, the reason why.
My heart is heavy, takes me to a place I can't breathe.
Only then I know why I see the warning sign.

Personally I don't see an improvement. The scrolling to get to places is annoying. The site is no longer inviting. The brightness just drives me away. I look around for a few and then it's time to go. Later gotta go.

Yup, it's better but still too bright. I start
to squint almost immediately. It's a huge
relief to go elsewhere, and that's not good.
The WoO site is 100% better by comparison.
It's all charcoal greys with black fonts, very
easy on the eyes. Why can't this site be like
that?

We changed the font, and tweaked the background a bit.
Fixed some other reported issues too.
PMs broke down yesterday, so we will work on that today. Search box should be fixed soon too.
As far as the forum being too long to scroll, well it was always like that, and same goes for the order of the forum sections ( but we will revamp that a lil bit ).
We have introduced the collapsing sections on mobile( tablet will follow soon ) which solves the issue of having to scroll down forever.

This will allow everyone to customize it to their taste.

I didn't realize a site knew if you were on a phone or a tablet. I always assumed that they were treated the same.
I am not sure what everyones beef is with the white background. I visit 4 forums and all 4 have a white background.

Thanks Zuga. That is certainly more work, but a great solution, since what looks great to some people, others cannot enjoy.

I have 1 main complaint. When I first logged on to this site from a desktop the main forum section was all kinds of weird looking. When I looked at the categories the number of threads and posts were actually under the topic title instead of way off to the right. I thought it was designed this way but then I realized that if I zoomed out it would put everything where it needs to go. Then I went to post a message and my type was teeny tiny. I had to zoom out to make it readable. Then when I went back to the main page zoom back out. Now it is not a huge deal since I just hold ctrl and use mouse to do it but I wouldn't think I had to do that.
Also on my screen the advertising bar on the right hand side has about 1.5 inches of white space on the right hand side and on the left hand side it is the same. If the margins were moved over a bit then there would be more room for the categories.
I am on a 23 inch LCD but it is not a wide screen if that make a difference.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Okay so the issue was related to the screen resolution as we set it to act differently for those dimensions that iPad has. So we fixed that and its working ( tested myself )

A good useful move in putting all that physical and visual distance between the "Flag Post" and the "Reply" & "Edit" or "Quote" buttons. Several times I've accidentally flagged a post before, I think maybe even including my own, though I'm not sure about that or if it was even possible before. But it was very possible at least for others when they were all nested together.
