New, upgraded and mobile friendly WoV
just a heads up that we are soon to launch the redesigned WoV , which will be mobile friendly ( responsive ). It will have many new perks, including possibility to upload your own avatars, comment under news/articles and other reviews on the site etc.
The new site will be launched in the next 12-48hrs.
We are welcoming all suggestions, bug finds ( there will probably be a few ) etc upon the launch.

As opposed to others who don't appreciate them and have deaf ears. That's just 1BB getting his digs in at the other admins on here in the style you are know for. Mobile friendly? Uh, oh. I've seen too many "mobile friendly" sites that make me want to throw my iPhone out the window. And WoO is on that list. Fingers crossed that WoV doesn't become another site I hate...

Going to take Zuga's direction to leave this to the topic....after this comment...but all one has to do is read the extra part 1BB added to see what he was getting at in his constant dips and questioning of the admins of this site.

Now I'm going outside to follow 1BB's advise before he gets an attorney after me. Because you know, he loves to push everything to gets others in trouble so he can defend them. Not sure why though?

I don't like the left/right deadspace on wide windows. I understand it, but I don't like it.
There doesn't seem to be enough deadspace on my phone. I understand trying to maximize content on a small display, however.
The Recent Posts page still takes a while to load. Suggestions to not calculate the newest post in each thread while generating the page have been discussed elsewhere.
The buttons to select which page in a thread to go to are bigger. That is helpful.
The stylesheet feels like it still needs tweaking.

I have always liked the preview option. It was disturbing to see odiusgambit (sp) looking at me while I did it though.
So far, I haven't bumped into anything that makes me wanna complain. In fact, I like it. Blog posts are not showing up on the mobile friendly version. They do when I'm on my laptop, but no text on the mobile friendly.
I find it strange that the Off Topic section is above the related sections (Gambling, Gaming Business, Las Vegas Casinos). Off Topic should not be a featured section.

If you will notice, it is a combo of a Rebel Flag and a "Don't Tread on Me" flag. Consider me a sympathizer of good, hardworking southerners who are looked down upon by the elite in this nation.

Few suggestions if possible.
1) I know it doesn't have to do with the new forum layout or whatever, but should be a regular checkbox thing in the admin CP....but can someone enable Quick Post? So you don't gotta hit "Reply" in order to respond. There'd automatically be a box at the bottom of the screen to type in a response.
2) Hotkeys. I forget what they are, but I think Alt+S for post and Alt+P for preview.

Can't change the size of anything for this site on iPhone. Can't for FaceBook either, but that uses a slightly bigger/darker font so it's ok.

I hate new things, too. But while I lost "my WoV", I can see that if I came to a sight and found it looking like this, I wouldn't be put off. In a week, I'll forget all about it.
I just need to search for the new admin functions. Thecesspit was having trouble getting the Leafs logo as his avatar, and asked me to help him. I just gotta plop that in there and everything will be kosher XD

From the homepage I have scroll past a bunch of header info (new members, most posts, etc) in order to see the sub forums. I guess that info was neat as a header if your eyes could skim past it, but I don't need to be forced to read it every time.
Too much scrolling required in general. Each sub forum's "most recent post" display (with avatar etc) occupies about a half-screen of vertical screen space on my phone. My index finger is going to fall off if I try to scroll down to the 20th sub forum.
I realize this is a balance against the old version which had small text that I would often have to zoom in to ensure my finger clicks the right link. But maybe a balance can be struck.
I really don't understand the "mobile friendly" thing at all. The previous version of the site scaled beautifully on my tablet and on my phone. This does not appear to me to be "better" in any appreciable way, at least (and only) relating to my mobile experience. I do definitely like the clean and subdued look of the new design overall.
Also, the "top threads" section is gone? That leaves me really digging for threads that are popular but not recent. Like when the Chip of the Day is dormant for more than a few hours, or when I want to go re-live the suspendathon that was the HB Challenge thread...
