That's excellent news for me if I ever go there. It would be weird redeeming a ticket with no annoying little pieces of metal to ignore.

Yes, mildly annoying that many casinos on the Strip were giving a slip of paper that had to be taken to the Cashier's Cage for any amount that wasn't exactly a multiple of a dollar.Quote: AlanMendelsonRed Rock casino is once again paying out coins from its ticket redemption machines.
More annoying that some Caesars Joints have combined the Players Club desk with the Cashier, leading to long lines while a middle-aged lady has a stack of 30 or 40 of those slips of paper to process.
And even MORE annoying that the combined staff at the Cashier was baffled by simple questions about the Players Club, and on at least one occasion provided INCORRECT answers.
There's emptiness behind their eyes
There's dust in all their hearts
They just want to steal us all and take us all apart

My experiences show that even the Players club staff often provides incorrect information.

Probably true as well, but I think it is even worse now. They combined the functions to save money (?), and saved even more by hardly doing any training (?).

They’ve been pinching pennies since the Palms investment imploded.

Q: So what is THEIR excuse ?
A: We like having (your) money.

The official "excuse" was the coin shortage.
There's no longer a coin shortage. So the cashing machines have been restocked with coins.

Coins are very expensive to handle.

A lot of people just threw the receipts away. I'm sure the casinos made big money on all the people that didn't wanna wait in line for their 37 cents! I would just pay it forward and leave it in the machine. But I shoot a lot of craps so that wasn't a big problem.
Before the pandemic a casino I went to used to have a Dropbox where you could put your annoying 20 cent voucher's in as a donation. For example a donation to a pet rescue or a veterans fund. It would have been nice if more casinos did that. I'm pretty sure they probably just kept money that people redeem.

There was not any decent reason to have it done for more than a couple months, three max. They prioritized not stocking coins/making a tad more money over any potential employee or patron health concerns during the pandemic period.
They intentionally ushered in dozens to hundreds of entirely unnecessary additional person to person cashier interactions per day per property in the middle of the pandemic when we were supposed to concentrate on social distancing...
