Once a week or so I check the list of Nevada field trials for any new games. There were none listed today, which is very unusual, so I wandered over into a section for complaints, stipulations, and orders. I highly applaud this, as I'm all in favor of government transparency and public shaming.

At first glance on any complaint it may look like a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo, if you skip to the "count one" section, they get to the point of the complaint. Here is an executive summary of a few recent ones:

Boomtown casino near Reno had an affiliate program going through its website to an offshore casino in Curacao. Hard to believe the lawyers at Boomtown didn't see any problems with this.

Derek Stevens*, owner of the Golden Gate casino offered a patron a $5,000 marker with no paper trail. There are lots of regulations regarding markers and doing it "old school" handshake style is definitely not kosher any longer.

The Rampart (closest casino to where I live) allowed an obviously very inebriated player to gamble. Based on my experience, you need to be pretty s##t-faced drunk before they prohibit you from playing, which the player seemed to be, based on the description.

Please feel free to explore the page and let us know about who is doing what. Again, my compliments to Gaming for doing this. There was a time when I said that Gaming was a spineless puppet of the gaming business, but no longer. Glad to see they are keeping the casinos honest, as they are supposed to do.

The question for the poll is what do you think of this list of shame?

It's got my interest. Thanks. Posting the list should be a public service announcement.

2 out of 7 are anarchists. That seems pretty normal around here.

Interesting reading, thanks. I found the FACTUAL BACKGROUND section just prior to COUNT ONE had the details of interest for my reading. Not every complaint has that section.

I chose NGC 13-22 to sample. Two board agents observing the high limit roulette game at Aria were told by the floor admiral they were not welcome, and if they did not leave security personnel would be summoned to block their view. Two players did not want to be watched. It seems that action was a violation of regulations requiring the public have access to gaming and Aria was fined.
