Sold for $600m?!
wow! 4x profit by just holding onto to it for 7years.
I guess there's a fool born every minute.
I cant understand how the new owners thought it's worth $600m especially since it's costing Icahn money by it just sitting there.
as for the building, it's been sitting there unfinished at 70% since 2009.
I would think it'll be easier to strip it down to the bare metal then complete it vs trying to clean it up with some windex/broom/mold removal

I wonder what their "theme" (for lack of a better word), if any, for the casino will be?
Upscale ala Bellagio and Wynn?
Middle of the road ala NYNY and PH?
Family-centric low-rolling joint ala Circus Circus?
My guess: they'll try to go upscale.
Best of luck to them as they try to bring some "critical mass" to the much-maligned northern end of the strip.

wonder why they bought this place instead of Echelon?
(ground breaking by new Echelon owners was in 2014 but open date has been pushed back from 2016 to 2018.
4yrs to open just the casino portion?!)
