I highly recommend the BEATLES LOVE show at Mirage, and thanks to myVegas for letting me see it twice over the past couple of trips.
I guess Mandalay Bay is an option.
Quote: JohnnyQI am leaving LV this evening to go back home.
Argghhh....
Killing time, so decided to check flight status at the McDonald's, JUST IN CASE and I don't know why I decided to do that, and the stupid United flight is delayed a couple of hours. It was not a good redeye flight to start with since I used what was available on Frequent Flier miles.
I pretty much exhausted my bankroll, so I wasn't interested in burning through anymore, UNLESS this can be considered a sign from fate/whatever to try and hit the deuces a Palms one more time !
Quote: djatcAlso what's up with needing to check in to use freeplay? Freeplay was the best points to cash conversion.
Made it to the United Lounge, waiting for the flight.
Was the Freeplay ever "free and clear" or did it always require a stay at the hotel as well, which obviously dilutes the value of this type of redemption ?

Quote: ams288I also used one of my rewards to see LOVE at the Mirage. Definitely worth it. One of the best values for the LP cost on MyVegas.
Absolutely agree with this one - even if I did have to get up at 7 AM to get mine (that's when they "reset" the rewards - that's 7 AM Pacific time, mind you), only for the demand to come down for some reason a month later (there were still some available at noon - the only one now that seems to sell out right away is the $50 credit with no restrictions at Monte Carlo, although now that the "2 free tickets to LOVE" options don't seem to be there any more, the single (non-nosebleed seat) tickets look like they're starting to sell out fast again).
Quote: toastcmuMy wife redeemed some free play and the desk indeed asked for a hotel room number. I agree that why fret over 50 freeplay. Instead you have to stay for THREE nights for that one.
-B
Do they check the room number, or do they just ask for one? I've actually given out a random room out to a comp once and they didn't check. I was actually staying at this hotel, but I forgot my room number and the one I gave I thought it was real because they just made me sign a receipt.
Karma will catch up to me and I'll probably burn in hell lol.

Lol. They actually looked up the room in the computer and checked the names. This was Aria, so you may get different results At Excalibur.

Since it's level-up based and not XP-based, you can play blackjack (it's still 2 chips bet to gain 1 XP, and a 40K XP per deal limit (not including splits and doubles))
Quote: VCUSkyhawkI am glad I redeemed my points for 3 free buffets for 2 for my trip in 2 weeks. They have started removing almost all of these or have tied them to a minimum night stay at the hotel to use them
yeah I basically stopped playing the game because of it. It seems like you either have to be staying in the hotel or get a bogo. Not worth the time, IMO.
Quote: JohnnyQHey hey Check it out, Welcome Red Rock, GVR, and Palace Station to the REWARD mix !
Very weird, but definitely a good thing. I'm hoping for freeplay offers without hotel stays, since I find that to be the best way to churn loyalty points into cash.
Quote: VCUSkyhawkThey have started removing almost all of these (BUFFETS) or have tied them to a minimum night stay at the hotel to use them
Oh crap, I hadn't seen that. At least right now they still have show tickets. I am just showing one of my friends how to play this game, but he may have missed the boat on the best offers.
Graphics for the games I have unlocked look very nice though!
On the other hand, I've been on a HUGE roll on the regular mobile app. I made 30,000+ LPs yesterday alone finishing the current huge quest.
I'm pretty sure the mobile version of MGM Megastars is +EV.
Oh well. I'm pleasantly surprised that they still offer as many good prizes as they still do.
I am glad blackjack app was mentioned. I didn't know it came out. I just played and in 10 minutes went busto.
Quote: AxelWolfMy GF has over 1 million in gold or whatever its called. What's that worth approximately? $800?
Yes, it used to be worth that much. Now, depending on where you were planning to stay, it might still be. Or not.
Quote: AxelWolfMy GF has over 1 million in gold or whatever its called. What's that worth approximately? $800?
Depends on what you spend it on really. $800 is probably a decent estimate though.
And I played this mobile app most of the day to unlock Geoff's game. I had a good enough run not to go broke, and even get a 200k chipstack when unlocking it. Then I played his game and got killed. Now at 68k betting between 2500 and 5000, ouch. At least I ran hot playing this game for real money and not the other way around.
It looks good on the app though! And the help screen is very well written. What sucks is, like all other myVegas blackjack, this is a no-resplit game, which really hurts in Free Bet.
And I think Geoff needs to lobby for a Facebook version of this.

I assume one of the reasons is, splitting and doubling lets you get around the 40K XP limit per deal.
At least, that's the limit on the Facebook version. Is that the limit on the app as well?
BTW, on the Android tablet version of the game, it's still all slots. No BJ, Geoff's (I'm assuming Free Bet BJ) or otherwise.

I always assumed the reason was to avoid screen clutter. With the blackjack app, there is definitely no room to resplit.
Quote: NareedWhen you complain about myVegas, keep in mind it costs you absolutely no money and really very little time.

It's a completely different app you have to download with blackjack games only.

Thanks
I have recommended myVegas to friends to try, but looking at the prize redemption levels now, it is becoming a luke-warm recommendation.
Some are still pretty decent:
78K 1 Premium Ticket to KA
78K 1 Premium Ticket to LOVE
112K 2 Mirage Dinner Buffets
208K 2 Premium Tickets to KA
Just so-so:
156K 2 Aria Dinner Buffets
Others are way over-"priced":
182K 2 MGM Dinner Buffets
272K 2 Bellagio Lunch Buffets
560K 2 Bellagio Dinner Buffets
The good news, what little there is of it, is that some new prizes and destinations (Tunica, Biloxi) are being added to the rewards line-up from time to time.
Quote: tringlomaneDealer just had: 3 clubs, A diamonds, 8 hearts, T diamonds in that order and paid my bet off instead of Pushing on 22...possible error? First one I've noticed.
Yes, I have had a few errors of this kind happen to me too Tring.
It's still in the testing stage so any feedback is passed on and gratefully received.
I do agree that the non re-split option does water down the game a little
Quote: GWAEI wonder how it works when you get a game on facebook or myvegas. Does geoff get paid for them using the game or did he pay to have it on there in hopes people would play it live.
I get paid :-)
Quote: SwitchI get paid :-)
I wish your game was on facebook though. The blackjack app is virtually worthless in terms of rewards. :(
Quote: SwitchI get paid :-)
That is great. Congrats on the placement.
Quote: JohnnyQWell I'm still pluggin' away at this game, 10-20 minutes a day covering my account and Mrs. Q, or longer if I am stuck in an airport with WI-FI. Or stuck at home sick, etc. Anyone else still playing this game ?
Yep, still playing it somewhat passively. Stayed at Gold Strike Tunica using points on Saturday night. Also used a buy one, get one buffet on the way out of town. And they just gave us a $27 credit for the award, so 2 lunch buffets were only $3 + tax on a weekday.
For a while, the MGM Grand Allstar game on the mobile version has to have been +EV. You could play for hours and hours with high bets and just keep accumulating chips and LPs. I got up to 11 million chips on the mobile game playing only that. And because there is no LP cap for mobile, I earned 30,000 LPs in a day a couple times. (I've seen people on Facebook say they've earned 100,000 LPs in a day playing mobile).
But since then they have tightened it up and now it's just a chip sucker like all the other games.
I'm sitting on 260,000 LPs with the rewards for my next two trips already redeemed so I'm in a good place.
Yes I just estimated is all(according to the actual cost of what she uses it on), she plays my account as well not sure what she has accumulated on that.Quote: tringlomaneDepends on what you spend it on really. $800 is probably a decent estimate though.

Personally i think its a pain in the ass with the redemption process and reward limits. She coordinates everything with a casino stay on each account, free play and whatever else.
Also, the max XPs on a Blackjack deal is now 60K (i.e. for a combined total bet of 120K), not including splits/doubles. This is on the Facebook app; I don't know about the mobile version.
I have a question for the games there, which slots have the lowest volatilty? Excalibur?
Quote: DigitalTimI started playing on January 16th 2013.
Here is the strategy guide that I use from facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/myvegasguides/app_137541772984354
Here is the group that you can grab bonus chips from and also add other MyVegas players:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/myvegasguides/469229579801082/?ref=notif¬if_t=group_comment_reply
Since January 16th I have leveled to 40 with almost 31,000 loyalty points (LP). It is a grind since the optimal strategy is to bet smaller on the slots.
Side Note: Do not try and add too many players. I was banned from adding friends (still am for three days) for a week by trying to add too many friends to join me. The above posts are correct, the only way to succeed is to add friends, intelligently, and then collect daily coins up to 50K.
RE MINTY's POST.....
So as far as collecting extra Red Chips to churn through and turn into gold, I have had used the Facebook group that DigitalTim mentioned way back when, and can collect 10K to 20K about once a week. There is a place where people post links to the Red Chip bonuses.
IF this group is filled up and not accepting new members, find "JAMES HITE" and follow him or make him a friend. He posts the best links. To save time I only click on the links he posts.
I don't mind playing myVegas a few minutes a day, and I have been able to collect enough Reward Chips to see top tier Cirque du Soleil shows in Vegas almost every trip we take out there. And getting free pairs of tickets to good shows is more than my gambling comps have ever entitled me to. Mrs. Q and I both have myVegas accounts.
I don't think myVegas currently has as good of offers as they USED to have, BUT they do still have better offers NOW than what I thought they would have 2-3 years after they launched the concept. The higher redemption prizes are so good that I don't quite understand how the system supports itself. But I did buy the minimum amount of chips that I needed to get a 4th redemption per 30 day window, instead of being limited to 3.
Mission146 said that if I'll play consistently, I'd might get 50,000 points by June.
Yesterday I've hit 140,000 LP.
Fancy hotel rooms, here I come!
Quote: djatcAlligent Air a new partner on Myvegas. Seems you can get a roundtrip flight from Vegas, Florida, Phoenix for about 400k points. Of course this will probably be sold out all day like the $50 MC food credit.
I have a question for the games there, which slots have the lowest volatilty? Excalibur?
Yeah the allegiant stuff will def go quick.
As for low volatility, most of the old games for sure. Excalibur, bet the farm, and lucky birds are probably some of the lowest. If spinning slots, I play birds a lot.
She also uses JAMES HITE links I guess.
Quote: Gabes22I am up to about 510K LPs right now. The bad thing is you can only redeem 3 coupons within 30 days. I am considering buying three separate $50 Free Play coupons.
That won't work unless you'll be staying at three separate MLife properties during your trip.
Each reward is limited to one per player. So you can only purchase one $50 Freeplay for each property.
