Peace be upon you all.

Unfortunately the Wizard (ﷺ) has retired. No longer will society have a brave figure who dedicates their life towards finding the house edge and strategy to any new casino game.

This frightening new status quo is bad for everyone - people are afraid to try new games, which then makes life even harder for casino inventors, and ultimately brings less business for the casinos themselves.

The table games innovation has already been under threat for the past decade due to the "copyright crisis" (I'm referring to the the fact that any company can take your game an rename it).

Due to the bleak situation, I believe it's necessary to convene a group of mathematicians and inventors to make sure that table game mathematics remain and active and public field - I have already been assembling this group over the past couple months but I would like to invite anyone in this forum who is skilled at casino math or table game invention to join me.

The main purpose of this group would be to document, find the house edge, and discern the basic strategy of new table games. The secondary purpose would be to foster collaboration between table game inventors to make their difficult jobs a little easier.

I also suggest we convene this group at the next G2E conference :) I'm open to names, but thinking of "The Arithmancers".

By the way this is not AI this is a photo I took with my iPhone of the group :D

One game that I've been analyzing by myself recently is Battle 1-2-3. Maybe some fellow Arithmancers can provide insight.

Last night I added the four side bets to Battle 1-2-3 on my casino website, and tonight I was looking for the house edges.

This analysis assumes 6 decks

Regarding the main War bet I think that there is approximately a 5.515% chance of tying (which is a loss in this game), otherwise the odds are even. Therefore there is a ~5.515% house edge.

The Battle bets seem to have no house edge. Does that mean the "basic strategy" is the bet them as much as possible? Depends how you look at it I guess.

Player's 3 side bet has a house edge of 10.29%
Pairs and Trips side bet has a house edge of 18.53% or 21.89% depending on the pay table

I have not tried to calculate the other two side bets yet. I have a life... but I'm sure I'll do them if someone else in the forum doesn't while I'm asleep. Do you think that doing the math assuming infinite decks is a good way to get an approximate value for the 8-deck house edge of a side bet?
