- the rules are simple (provided you are familiar with poker)
- there is an element of strategy
- it requires 1 betting unit
- the pace of the game is fast (I'd estimate 80-100 hands per hours if comparing to blackjack's 100)
- Dealing procedures are relatively simple
I've included an incredibly scuffed (I say that due to no tripod or script) pilot video explaining the rules
2 ideas for side bets are first a 2 card bonus. a pair, flush, SF, rf, or suited pair can pay off your first 2 cards only. The other idea is a 5 card saver which only plays when the player stays on 4 cards or less. This bet allows the player to never miss out by drawing to 5 cards after their main bet has been resolved.
Some psych problems I see are being let down when you're dealt a winning hand, draw to 5 cards with no improvement and realise you missed out on 5x what you should have gotten. Vice versa with stopping too early and realising you could have improved. However, this issue exists with blackjack and some would argue that this missing out is what makes the game fun.
I'd love to know if you guys think I have a good idea and if it's worth calculating. The math seems incredibly hard though and I'd definitely need help
(I understand that the demo may have been dealt from a stacked deck for illustrative purposes.)

If I wanted to make this a reality Id have to outsource everything to the point where the concept is the only thing thats mine. At least though if you think it deserves a patent its definitely worth some fun in a casino!

There isn't a ton of money in most, but licensing royalty can add up if you get a multi-casino chain to sign on. Years ago, someone told me that a licensed side bet could earn $5 per table per shift, although someone else said it was $5 a day. That was twenty years ago.
If those numbers are accurate, getting into twenty casinos would pay between $100 and $300 a day. That is not chump change.
Those numbers are WAY over inflated.Quote: billryanThere isn't a ton of money in most, but licensing royalty can add up if you get a multi-casino chain to sign on. More like $100 per table, per MONTH. And thats for a good, proven game.

So about $5 a day per table.

yes! 6 decks. I want the possibility of suited ranks along with a faster paced game. My local casino hand shuffles all their single-deck games and the HPH is something like 30 which is not only bad for the casino but super boring!
