as being too abstract.

still do not know what that means.
But I do know it is way easier to get a patent on a "New deck of cards" than just different faces on a die with some rules thrown on top.

Many get patents for just rules of a game (and not an invention by the rules of a patent) as long as the application covers other methods, like software or electronic game versions.

looks to me the game inventors need to get a better patent attorney who can get it done.

dice games have all but died, like SURF MUSIC.
for those that want to keep dice games going (other than Craps or Yahtzee)
more power to us

Still fun to go to a Beach Boy concert, cuz their singing and music makes you dance
"After six hours of school I've had enough for the day
I hit the radio dial and turn it up all the way "
YES! I am not in school any more, but words ring true

Well, its going to be easier to bring back surf music than to foster a renewed interest in dice games if there is no patent protection for one's efforts.
