But I do know it is way easier to get a patent on a "New deck of cards" than just different faces on a die with some rules thrown on top.
Many get patents for just rules of a game (and not an invention by the rules of a patent) as long as the application covers other methods, like software or electronic game versions.
looks to me the game inventors need to get a better patent attorney who can get it done.
dice games have all but died, like SURF MUSIC.
for those that want to keep dice games going (other than Craps or Yahtzee)
