Quote: gamerfreakI was recently upgraded to Diamond, and I have to ask the receptionist to remove the resort fee, the computer is not doing it automatically. The girl who helped me caught it the first time and took it off, several times after that I had to ask. This is in Atlantic City.
Yeah, they suck at that. You have to audit your checkout at all their properties, though they're very good about removing it once you point it out.

I can't help but think it's on purpose. They try to coax you in to just dropping your key in a deposit to check out.
Quote: RogerKintGuys, Arizona Charlie's Decatur doesn't even require a deposit for incidentals upon check in for comped rooms. If you're tired of the shenanigans on the strip come on down to AZ Charlie's Decatur. We share a parking lot with Ross (cannot comp purchases made at Ross).
As a proud resident of Arizona I feel that there appropriation of our state's name is borderline defamatory.

Don't start something you can't finish, big boy.

As RogerKint I can get behind pretty much anything.
I sincerely apologize to the OP. As a diamond member at CET he deserves better.

And so what if you are HIV positive. You like chocolate, I like vanilla, etc. these are just small differences.

This is what has been happening to me, my booking only shows like $5/night tax then the computer adds the resort fee at checkout.
As long as you are losing big, I'm specifically picking on CET properties and Native affiliates, the attitude seems to be " no charges Feathers, come back soon ". No fees, no tax, 'can we get you an energy drink for the road?' .Quote: gamerfreakThis is what has been happening to me, my booking only shows like $5/night tax then the computer adds the resort fee at checkout.
This seems to be a highly variable situation, YMMV.
I'm broke down on the side of the road, so much for my mileage ;-)
It's been a long time since i have played there (never stayed there)They have had a few goodies over the years. Soon after I first started playing they had $50 bonus coupons on 4 of a kinds. IIRC you could collect an entire set. Once you hit one and used the coupon they replaced it with a new one. They had 9/6 .25 for 111% overly with your coupons, add in free food, how can you miss on that?Quote: RogerKintGuys, Arizona Charlie's Decatur doesn't even require a deposit for incidentals upon check in for comped rooms. I just got hit by this 3times in the past 4 weeks.
it's not the resort fee.
it's the stand alone $14 internet fee if, somehow, u had the option of not paying the resort fee.
it doesn't show up in the final bill and reward credits are automatically deducted. :(
first 2 was last month at vegas and didn't notice it till I saw my monthly Total Rewards statement.
3rd one was this weekend at harrahs.
talked to harrahs front desk and they removed it.
and just got off the phone w/rio. since it's been over a week, the front desk cant do it.
I have to talk to billing, which is only open m-f. :(
