With the bonus system that CET introduced, it has made it way too easy to obtain Diamond Status. There are way too many Diamond Card holders making it seem less special than ever. The Diamond Lounges no longer have that exclusive feel. You have people lining up in Vegas for chicken wings. I would love to see CET increase the requirements for Diamond to 30,000 - 40,000 TC's. Vegas also needs to take a page from AC with this policy: anyone with less 25,0000 will require 1,000 RC's to enter the DL. Thoughts?

what's the difference anyways... it's not like being diamond or not changes comps.. if you really want to go for exclusiveness than go for 7star. Most of the time its better to pay for something outright then use the "perks" or comps anyways (like diamond lounge)

The Diamond Lounge's stink in Vegas anyways. Other than a bottle of beer I see no reason to even go in them. They provide a few crummy wings for an hour or 2 at most and stale pretzels the rest of the time. If your ADT is high enough, you should be able to eat anywhere they own and get it covered. And if it isn't, you are getting about what you earned. They just don't care and its why many have stopped playing and staying there and why they are far more focused on non player revenue.

It's much cheaper for them to give someone diamond than it is to give them a free play offer for $250 every 3 months. They cut everyone's offers significantly and hope to keep their business by making them diamond. If you're a player, is $250 free play without diamond or $125 free play with diamond status going to get you to play more?

Go for 7 Stars, it can be done in about 15 days with the bonuses.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I agree vetsen, very good point.

Little bit out of my reach, I only average between 70,000 - 80,000 TC's yearly, 2 trips to Vegas & maybe 4 to Atlantic City. My ADT must be pretty good because I'm always RFB and get all charges to my room taken care of. The way the CET system is set up now, there's just too much of a gap between Diamond & Seven Stars and not a large enough gap between Platinum & Diamond.

I play the mailers, not all of them mind you. But I would take the $250 at Platinum over the $125 at Diamond. I think you expected the opposite answer, sorry. I am Diamond (low level) BTW.

Platinum is too easy.

Platinum -> Diamond is too small of a gap.

Diamond is also too easy, IMO. Then again, $50K coin in (on VP) can be done quite easily in a single session. Well....I guess that's a matter of opinion.

I think 7* is perfect. It shouldn't be something most people can do. It's the best of the best for a reason. Minimum is half a million coin in on VP or quarter million on slots. I don't even want to try to figure out what the theoretical is for getting 7* playing slots...omg. For VP, I'd say about 2.5% is a fair estimate for theoretical (not EV, HE, w/e). It's probably higher than 2.5% average. But even at 2.5%, that puts a VP player at a $12,500 theoretical (loss), at a minimum, to gain 7 stars. But, I'm gonna guess that most 7 stars players do not do the 10K TC bonus 10 times to get to 7* level. Most probably earn like 10-30K TC (plus 10K bonus) in a day.

I say....

Platinum should be attainable within 1 day for your "not bottom of the level players", like $50-100 avg bet on table games for 3-4 hours, or $15-20K coin in on VP (or 7-10K on slots). Player probably has a $2-3K "bankroll" when coming to Vegas.

Diamond should be attainable within 1 day for the "he's a 'bigger player', but not total f***** monster", $200-500 avg bet on table games for 2-3 hours (80K coin in on VP or 40K on slots). Probably has a $10-15K "bankroll" when coming to Vegas.

7* should be attainable within 1 day for the "Yeah, his d*ck is probably 12 inches long" kind of player. Plays $1K to $5K average bet for 3-4 hours or $400K coin in on VP or $150K on slots. Has a credit line of a quarter million, usually taking out $20K at a time.

That's my opinion, at least.

A lot of things in casinos are backwards. Outside of the casino, we celebrate people who do well financially, but inside, we celebrate consistent losers. So I don't put a lot of stock into where a casino rates me. With that said, I don't think there is much monetary benefit to climbing these rankings.

I was a Seven Stars tier for 6 years and reverted to Diamond when they raised the threshold to 150,000 and did away with most playable VP. Frankly, I don't notice much difference in my benefits. I have a very high ADT in New Orleans and I get a suite and RFB for 5 nights without even using my absolutely useless host there. I used to have a high ADT in Atlantic City but have switched my play to the Borgata because of the ridiculous cutbacks by CZR. Even though I am "high" Diamond currently, CZR wants to give me a crappy Marina Tower room while the Borgata treats me very well. In Vegas I have switched my play to the Palazzo for the same reasons---CZR cutbacks on the quality of rooms offered to me. My point is simply this: Diamond status is pretty worthless now. Play where you like to and develop a good ADT and you won't need those chicken wings! Seriously, none of this baloney is worth it.
I give this post an hour. Tee Hee!
