He just won 670k and he is claiming that he was 3$ EV+ per hand (500$).
How did he get to that number ?
If so, what was the risk of running out of cash before hitting the jackpot ?
Thanks.

I found the paytable online, and I calculate that he had a 97.97% paytable. So, he should have lost, on average, $10.16 per hand.

Wrong, it was an 8/5 bonus game which is 99.17 if the royal is at reset (400K) He was actually playing somewhere between .25 and .5 positive.

Now THAT is gambling.
He only had $40,000 loaded in the machine. That is like you or I playing the $1.25 machine with 100 bucks in.
Edit: I believe the location was Aria.

WOW!!!
Not that I could ever...but where do they have $100 denominated machines?
High Limit rooms around LV or AC?
If you had that kind of money would you even consider playing VP in that denomination?

Seed has been involved in many "prop bets". He once made a $10,000 proposition bet with Phil Hellmuth and Konstantin Othmer that he could float in the ocean for 24 hours without touching the bottom. By bet rules, he was not allowed to bet more than an additional $15,000, and could settle the bet without attempting the feat for $5000, which is what eventually happened.
Seed once took a six figure bet that he could break 100 on a desert golf course four times in a day using just a five iron, sand wedge and putter. He has also bet that he would be able to go an entire year without shaving.
Me, you, or a normal person? No. This guy? Yes.

You're right, I made a mistake. With the jackpot of $670,665, his actual return was 100.652%, plus the contribution rate, which is unknown. This means that he should have earned $3.26 per hand plus the progressive contribution. As soon as the game resets, the return is 99.17% plus the contribution rate.

...and he could lose all that in just a couple poker hands.
Or he could double it, of course.

They also have some $5,000 per spin slot machines in Vegas and I think that they also have one that is $25,000 per spin.

Where can I find someone to make me this offer?
How much would taxes kill the EV on the huge progressives? Or is that game beatable, too

Would make a huge difference. I assume Huck Seed files as a professional gambler, so he offsets his winnings with losses. If he has a huge income, he can take advantage of favorable tax conditions for the wealthy.Quote: TomGHow much would taxes kill the EV on the huge progressives? Or is that game beatable, too
