If you look at vpfree2 under "what's new", there are TWENTY entries for Downtown Grand. My goodness, what a mess.

Reminds me a little of Plaza about four or five years ago. I knew that wasn't going to last.

And yet, IIRC it went for like 7 months. I think a guy could have reasonably made about fifty thousand in those seven months.

a guy? could?

I've seen several cryptic entries .

So are people flocking there or fleeing from there?

There may be a little bit confusion on my part which promotion was being talked about. I was thinking about the Plaza / Las Vegas club double Royals and whatnot. The 28% thing was good as well, but that only lasted for 24 hours.

I'm not sure who's playing at the Downtown Grand, but I don't think people are flocking there. Personally, I don't like grinding on video poker all day anymore, unless it's something super good.

I played for about an hour in September. Won about $90 thanks to these. It was very dead, but it was also Tuesday afternoon. The 9/6 DDB UX Aces weren't a vulture. I was giving up on the session.

I stayed there during Spring Fling. I didn't pay much attention to the VP as it hadn't been that good in the past, and I didn't expect it to be any better. Freedom Beat has a halfway decent Pot Roast Sandwich, though.

Pizza Rock, Evil Pie, Naked City: all good pizza.

American Conney Island: Chili dogs.

Triple George: Semi fancy.

Hugos Celler: Fancy (never been, but universally loved.)

Andiamo: Steak. Oscars supposed to be good, never been.

Binion's steakhouse has a great view and vibe and my favorite ceasars. The steak is a bit bellow top end places, but also cheaper. Binions cafe is good.

Le Thai is good too.

They downgraded the $1 10/6 double double and 10/7 double bonus, both to 9.
