It’s a story that some in the AP community are inclined to believe or consider possible. You stated your opinion on his “system” claims after your interview with him years ago. So you kind of gave him relevant exposure then, maybe you should do it again.
As he claims there “may” still be machines out there, it could be a legitimate gambling story.
Other than giving him publicly, what is the downside?
That said, I’m not sure he can “prove” anything. Maybe an off camera interview to determine if you see the story as worthwhile.
I say this with no opinion either way and dislike the “Singer” character, but would love to hear your take on it as a universally respected gambling expert.
Thanks! Boz
Quote: BozAny chance the investigative Wizard could look into the claim by Singer that he exploited the Double Up bug for close to a million before it was “perhaps” caught?

I know it is a question for wizard but I am confused at what you are trying to get to. Are you unsure if the buf exists, or if it still exists?

No from the Kane and Nestor story, it’s obvious it happened. I’m more interested the Wizard trying to get a take on it from his perspective as an expert in the industry. I’m not sure anyone could get the truth out of “Singer”, but his opinion (The Wizard) would hold weight. And I’m not sure the Wired writer knew the subject matter they were reporting on. Taking Singer out of it, it’s one of the top Gambling stories of our time.

Or maybe its hating rob singer
Is this the same guy?
Whats that about?
EDIT: NM
Took me. Awhile to google it but its I hate Steven Singer.
Still no idea what thats about

That’s a jewelry guy from Philly. And it’s “I hate Steven Singer”. It’s his ads saying other jewelry stores hate him because his prices are so low.
Probably couldn’t read it all from the bus window. Had to say it, lol!

You are more right than you believe.
I am always seeing it just as the bus passes by and am too late to catch the whole thing lol

Ok that makes sense. I was going to refer back to them if for some reason you didnt know about. I was almost involved with that in PA. Luckily i was not as it ended poorly in PA.
I don't think we could ever trust a RS story and even with the wizard talking to him I dont think that I would believe it either way.
Quote: DRichI can tell you that at least one of those machines was still on the floor about a month ago.
Where?
It was probably nickels - quarters sitting in the Wild Wild West directly next to the security podium and slot managers office. 😂Quote: MaxPenWhere?
Quote: RSRob Singer is just a fat old retard who wants to "stay" in the limelight by concocting some ruse of a story. Most of his stories -- there isn't any proof one way or the other. I've noticed a few times if there's verifiable legitimate proof that he's BS'ing, he'd counter back with "Wow, I sure got you good -- you believed my story? ahahaha you're so dumb!!!" IMO don't even give him the time of day on this.
While I agree that Singer has pulled a lot of stuff over the years, I think this story is more than him. And I think Mike is the guy who’s opinion holds respected value after investigation.
The Wired story didn’t tell the entire story and as far as I know was never told in its entirety by a legitimate Gambling expert. Perhaps some want it that way but Mike has never shied away from controversial stories,
And if Singer is lying on this, the story will only make him look worse, if possible.
I'm almost certain if Rob did play this, there has to be a way he can prove this claim with some effort.

I don't think Max was serious. At least, that's my take.
I think it's pretty obvious Drich wouldn't be mentioning it... if it was still available on the floor, so the where wouldn't matter.Quote: darkozHilarious

The how and why has been discussed in great detail already via multiple sources.
I'm fairly certain if Max wanted to know something of value he would contact that person privately.
I would tend to think Drich wouldn't give up the location of a current machine with a double up bug.
So I'm not sure what you're getting at with this comment.

Personal insult. Per the Martingale policy, doubling the sentence since the last recent offense.

This isnt worded like a joke
Nor a lie
So one has to ask DRich if from the comment he was serious.

Gosh, Wiz, that looked harmless to me, I thought it was playful, not insulting. And yes, I know I have absolutely no business sticking my nose in it. There must be something I'm missing. Maybe I don't know their history. But it looked playful to me. I enjoy reading both of their posts. And I thought they were friends. No?

We met 2x at the spring flings.
Respectful competitors.
There is ribbing between us on both sides.
I think Wizard felt it went too far this time.
The bus stuff doesn't offend me.

Of course, he was absolutely serious. Have you paid attention to what line of business Drich is in? This isn't the first time he mentioned some of these machines being found within the last few years, if I recall correctly, he even mentioned the general small location. Quit focusing on your fictional stories and defending you're strange AP statements and focus on some reality and more technical Advantage play stuff and you might have a chance to own a bus, even if it's just a short one.Quote: darkozThis isnt worded like a joke

Hah!
Caught you.
When someone is half-joking then they are half-serious.
Like the wife who jokingly says to her husband "aww, you wouldn't be cheating on me now, would you" as she rubs his ear.

I actually went back and changed it to half joking instead of just joking because of course he was half serious. Personally I'd like to know if anybody was hammering it and why or how it was found. I'm curious as if there's someone actively looking to shut these down for some reason or if there's a serious group of people out looking for them. Obviously, I don't want that discussed here in the open and those are just a few things that come to mind.
Nonetheless, as I already pointed out, it's no longer available on the machine DRich was talking about, and we all know this. The actual double machine glitch has been talked about and written about numerous times including a national magazine.

There is absolutely nothing ambiguous about the statement: "there is one of these machines on the floor now"
We are discussing the double up bug.
DRich certainly isn't saying there is one video poker machine on the floor.
Unless he meant it as a joke.
Yet you say say his statement was totally serious.
So is there a double up bug machine on the floor now or was DRich joking.
Or are you intent on this double-talk about what DRich says about the double up
AND if DRich is joking, then why would he refuse to give the location.
I can easily say, Hey, there is a 3:1 BJ table located at resorts world NYC. But by the way I am just joking.
The more you keep insisting DRich wont give out pertinent info the more you convince me its out there.
A double up bug machine not caught or fixed by the main company. Of course you would want to create obfuscation if that was true.
Are those bus fumes making you paranoid as well?Quote: darkozThere is absolutely nothing ambiguous about the statement: "there is one of these machines on the floor now"

He(MAXPEN) was half joking when he asked where.
I guess there's a chance the one Drich was talking about is still on the floor. If I knew that to be the case, I wouldn't even be discussing it, because I wouldn't want to bring more attention to it.

Is staying in that garage with multiple faulty carburetor car fumes confusing what half-joking means
That you are half-serious?
If Maxpen suspected DRich was aware of a double up bug still operational are you telling me Maxpen would not half-seriously (half-joking) try to suss out a location?

I understood that all along.
My point is still valid.
There is an AP opportunity as espoused by DRich
Maxpen wants in
Maxpen asked publicly for info
Those are facts
Maxpen and Axel always chide those who ask publicly for AP info.
If Maxpen is now doing PMs nonetheless his joke has exposed that a play is possible.
To put it into perspective, there was a thread started a few years ago about a blackjack surrender bug. The person didnt want to give away its location.
It took me one hour to figure out where it most likely was and another day to confirm it.
Maxpen and DRich have already given out too much info (which even Axel admits)
Which is my point. They are fast to criticize others for doing it but when they do it then its just a joke (except its not)
There are some very old machines out there. In the Sneak and Peek thread we're talking about a video poker from the 1990's still on the casino floor in Nevada.
