Never break a FL4 to draw to ANY RF3.
AQ > than 'QT'
KJ > than 'JT'
'QT' keep only the Queen if there's a flush penalty.
Never keep KT-suited, just keep the King.
A few other changes but pretty much plays like 9-6 JoB unless it involves something to a royal.
A strange play, imo, is draw to the FL3 if there is another paint in a hand like this.
Ah - Kh - 5h - Qc - 8d. Close play.
Quote: Mission146I don't know what the denomination was to which you are referring, but on the few 2,500 credit five-coin Royals that I have seen for 9/6 JoB, one nice aspect is a one-coin Royal still pays 500-for-1, so there is effectively no such thing as short-coining. That's pretty cool if it is the best game there and the denomination is higher than what you would usually play.
Yes, it took me awhile to notice that but it is the same with the ones I was playing. Thank you.
I seen this 9/6 2500 coin RF pay at that 702 bar. Actually I played it and hit a RF...yuck.Quote: bobbartopYes, it took me awhile to notice that but it is the same with the ones I was playing. Thank you.

Is that the same bar that had all the news and was on that show Bar Rescue? I thought it was short-lived and then sold and they got rid of all the video poker. Or am I thinking of something else?
By the way, nice hand, sir.
10 years ago, Las Vegas Hilton had a row of 1c 9/6 JoB-500/1 Royals. They were near the parking lot, in the section which no longer has slots (also now called "Westgate Resorts")Quote: Mission146I don't know what the denomination was to which you are referring, but on the few 2,500 credit five-coin Royals that I have seen for 9/6 JoB, one nice aspect is a one-coin Royal still pays 500-for-1, so there is effectively no such thing as short-coining.
Back then I was only trying to make $35/day. At the end of the day, sometimes I would play $1 on the 1c J 9/6-500/1.
...in the years before I hit my first Royal.
Later, I downloaded games on my laptop to play/practice for free.
And I was splitting with someone.Quote: bobbartopIs that the same bar that had all the news and was on that show Bar Rescue? I thought it was short-lived and then sold and they got rid of all the video poker. Or am I thinking of something else?

Ya that's the place Its been a long time since I was there. I knew they downgraded but didn't know it was sold.
IMO you couldn't tell it was a bar from the outside. They look like business suites or something like that.

Seems like after a long story the perverted Doc from the Bar Rescue is back as the owner and it is back to the original Sand Dollar name. Probably a financing deal that went bad.
Back story is AC tried to push good paytables and Taffer is always looking for a good story so they tried it. Back it is to a typical Vegas VP route bar with crummy paytables and cheap drinks. Nothing wrong with what works for the business owner.
My friends that live on the west side of town stop by for the music. It's not on my way home, so I rarely stop by unless to meet up with someone.
Quote: bobbartopI had a choice between pNSU at 98.9%, or 9-6 JoB with a 2500 royal at 98.8% and a variance of 9. It was interesting, I had to school up on it first.
Speak of the devil, cracked that baby today. 48,000 cycle's a bitch.
Quote: monet0412Nice hit... did you get ahead? I haven't seen a Royal on single line for a few weeks which is a lot for my hand count but I know they are coming soon! It it nice to see what they look like!
I've been treated pretty well by this place. Well enough to play a 98.8 game. Sorry you've had a few bad weeks but I know you're not worried about it at all, I've read many of your posts and I wish I had your stamina and energy. Maybe you're younger than I am, but I get the image that you're not that much younger, probably just in better shape. I like your attitude and it sounds like you really know your stuff.
Why didn't that lock up? Do they flash HP on and off on that model?Quote: bobbartopSpeak of the devil, cracked that baby today. 48,000 cycle's a bitch.

It was locked. Playing music and everything. (I love that tune) Yes, it was flashing "hand pay" on and off, if that's what you meant.
This is a new machine, with a large assortment of crappy games. I think it does have 9-6 DDB on it. I've had two pat King-high Straight Flushes in the last two days, I guess it was finally time for an Ace.

that's a bad beat. but then again that's probably the best paying machine in the joint, even with the gimpy royal.

It was this, or pNSU. Both minus a percent, but this has a 9 variance.
