vp free lists a vp machine that can do up to 20 coin in at $1 and $2 denom.
the Royal is proportional to coin-in.
ie: 5 coin-in Royal is 4000 units, 10 coin-in is 8000 units

is there any difference between $1 '10 coin-in' and $2 '5 coin-in'?

What am I missing? The answer seems so very obvious, but perhaps I don't understand exactly what you're asking.

They are the same in almost all respects --- except maybe speed.

Sometimes (albeit rarely) they have promotions where prizes are based on denomination --- perhaps $1 games get a bonus of $100 for four fives and $2 games get a bonus of $200 for the same hand. In such a scenario, playing $2 with five coins bet would be better.

Until they changed pay schedules recently, I regularly played 25 coins @ $5 per coin at Dotty's --- at several outlets in greater Las Vegas. That was exactly the same as $25 single line --- which wasn't available unless you did it the way I did.

Beside the promo aspect, the only other thing I can think of would be if there is some loyalty club distinction, like the $5 coin game earns comp points at one rate while the $10 game earns faster (or slower). But you wouldn't know that just by looking at the paytable. Basically, if you make the same wager in dollars, and you get the same payouts in dollars (with the same probabilities), it's the same game. It doesn't matter whether or how you chop up that wager into smaller denominations. Sort of like how it's a $100 blackjack bet regardless of whether you make that $100 with a single black chip, four greens, 20 reds, or some other combination.
