I don't remember if I saw the same games & tables at both stores I went to, but they did seem fairly similar. Definitely a bump going from 10c to 25c. Both of these stores tend not to offer $1+ VP.
I thought there might have been a difference on the DW table (I didn't pay particularly close attention - DW isn't really a friend of mine), and I thought one place may have offered BPD instead of BP.
Now I just need to find one that's closer than 2 hours away. :/

My wife is currently in the lead with 162 Quadrillion Credits... her and her brother are tied for biggest win (both 140 Quadrillion).
I'm slacking behind with "only" 3 Quadrillion... but then again, they both clocked over 200 hours into it already... I can't keep up with that heheh :)

It's purely for fun. You start out with like 1000 credits or so and a highest bet of 20. Then when you gather enough credits you unlock/buy stuff with the credits. Like highers bets, better gambles (like change a card, regamble on same card, use a joker). The final gamble is where you can get the insane wins at :)

this game has been trying to creep into my youtube suggestions and ive been avoiding it because i think thats what i like to do until i decide to play it... and this organic post makes me want to play it more... also making me want to resist my own temptation more.., maybe next year balatro lol

I didn't think it was possible.
Its addictiveness is akin the the computer game Civilization
In Civ, you are constantly improving your Civ making you want to play more to see those results
Same with Balatro
You are constantly improving your deck and jokers and you are compelled to see the results
You have to constantly adjust your strategy which makes the game so great
What got you going early in the game may not cut it mid game. Really depends which is another aspect that makes it so great.
Perfect combination of luck, strategy and odds
That Banana joker is huge and had it on the right for maximum effectiveness
