El Cortez has a $0.25 full pay JoB, but it's a multi-strike machine. I'm not comfortable playing max coin (5 coins)-max lines (4 lines) for $5 (0.25 x 5 x 4 = 5) a hand. I don't know the multi-strike strategy, so if I play the max coin, but single line, does it pay the same as a single line machine?

Thanks.

Unless somebody has changed the way Multi-Strike machines work since I last looked, yes, you can play for just the one line for max coins and it plays just like a normal single-hand VP machine.

Is there a reason you want to stick to El Cortez? Does "full pay" mean something better than 9/6? (If not, I find it a little hard to believe El Cortez would be the only casino downtown that has it at 25c level.)

NO. You must make the multi-strike bet to get full credit for the royal. Do not play the game unless you are comfortable playing 20 credits a hand. They also have it for $.10 which is a reasonable $2.00 wager per spin.

Thanks. I'll stay away from multi strike for now. I hear the strategy is a little different for the lower lines.

Don, i want to put some coin in at El Cortez to get some free rooms.

I don't get it. If you play one line for five coins and get a royal, how much would you win?

The folks that have this out there have a fun website, including full-play sim of multi-strike, if anyone's unfamiliar with the game.

1250 credits.

Oh, I get it, they pay 250 500 750 1000 and 1250 for 1-5 coins respectively. But you do not get the 4000 coin pay out for 5 coin unless you play all four hands. Thanks. I had asked this question before and got no answer.

I have found a few machines that do this on regular multistrike games for certain game variants. Usually a deuces wild game. I really don't get why.

When they first came out you got 4000 for 5 on the first line.

I just looked at one and you can play 2 lines and get the 4000 for a royal, but they are correct in saying that only one line will get you 1250.

There are multiple adjustments for this though. According to VPFree2, at the El Cortez these are Multi-Strike Super Times Pay machines, and you have to bet all the bets to get the full pay royal.

Yes, there are Multi-Strike Super Times Pay machines at the El Cortez, but there are also two regular Multi-Strike machines with 9/6 JoB, etc. listed in vpFREE2.com. I saw them myself lately.

I agree with the other posters who wrote that the royal is shorted on regular Multi-Strike if you only play one line.

was playing $0.50 denom multistrike (9/6 JoB) this week.

lost $1200 quick!
didn't get many winners at 2x line, and even at the 1x line. :(

I think that $1200 lasted for $8k coin-in.
sigh

You can use the strategy generator on this site to get a fairly accurate strategy for the first three lines by adding 6 to the value of all one coin winners for line 1. 4 for line 2 and 2 for line 3. (ex: first line JOB would be 806-56-31-15-12-10-9-8-7.)

Note: On a "free ride" hand (or line 4) just use the normal strategy.

This works extremely well for near 100% games.
