I have gotten the beta version of my Android VP Strategy app (i.e. select a game and five cards, and it tells you which ones to keep) running, but right now it only plays 9-6 Jacks or Better. I want to add Deuces Wild and/or Bonus (including Double, Double Double, Triple Double, and maybe even Double Triple Double Bonus Deuces Wild MochaFrappaChinoSpresso with a Shot of Vanilla), but I don't know which pay tables to include at first. (There are too many listed at WoO.) Which ones are considered "popular"?

What variants are most popular?

In my opinion...

1. Double Double Bonus

(big gap)

2. Jacks or Better
3. Bonus Poker
4. Deuces Wild

(another gap)

5. Joker Poker
6. Double Bonus (probably more popular in Vegas since 10/7 exists)
7. Triple Double Bonus
8. Bonus Deuces Wild
9. Bonus Poker Deluxe
10. Triple Bonus Plus/White Hot Aces

It starts thinning out after that.

Thanks for the info, but what I really meant was, what particular pay tables for particular games should I include? For example, is it worth it to include 9-6, 8-5, 7-5, and 6-5 Jacks or Better? What are the "common" versions of DW or DDP?

Eventually, I intend to have it be able to enter (and save) a paytable for a particular game, but for now, they need to be pre-loaded.

Meh...

Ideally...I'd include:

Dueces Wild has this payout setup: Wild Royal/Quints/SF/Quads/FH/Flush all other payouts follow full pay DW:

Joker (Kings or better) has payouts that match full pay "20/7" except quads/full house and where noted.

Bonus Deuces match full pay "9/4/4/3" except for SF/Quads/FH/Flush

DDB: 10/6, 40(SF)/10/6, 9/6, 9/5, 8/5, 7/5
JoB: 9/6, 9/5, 8/6, 8/5, 7/5
BP: 8/5, 7/5, 6/5
DW: 25/15/9/5/3/2, 25/15/11/4/4/3, 25/16/10/4/4/3, 25/15/9/4/4/3, 20/12/10/4/4/3, 25/16/13/4/3/2, 20/10/8/4/4/3

Joker (Kings or Better): 20/7, 940(Royal)/18/7, 18/7, 17/7, 15/7
DB: 10/7/5, 9/7/5, 9/6/5, 9/6/4
TDB: 9/7, 9/6, 9/5, 8/5
Bonus Deuces: 9/4/4/3, 13/4/3/3, 10/4/3/3, 12/4/3/2
BP Dlx: 9/6, 8/6, 8/5, 7/5, 6/5
TB+: 9/5, 8/5, 7/5, 6/5
WHA: 9/5, 8/5, 7/5, 6/5

If this is too much...then I feel it's important to have the variants where the flush changes value in non wild games.

DDB: 9/6, 8/5
JoB: 9/6, 8/5
BP: 8/5, 6/5
DW: 25/15/9/5/3/2, 25/16/10/4/4/3, 25/16/13/4/3/2

Joker (Kings or better): 20/7, 940(Royal)/18/7, 15/7
DB: 9/7/5 (or 10/7/5), 9/6/5, 9/6/4
TDB: 9/7, 9/6, 9/5
Bonus Deuces: 9/4/4/3, 10/4/3/3
BP Dlx: 9/6, 8/5
TB+: 9/5, 7/5
WHA: 9/5, 7/5
