So I found a DDB Super Times Pay, 10 play, for $0.25, game which has an expected return of .9966, which is based on the game being 9/6 plus factoring in the bonus the casino pays for four of a kinds. This game gives 1 tier point for $1 coin in play. To get to the second level one must achieve 25,000 tier points. I already had 5,000 points before I found this game. In achieving the last 20,000 points one would expect, playing this game solely, a loss of approximately $70 (by my calculation). However, during my play which took approximately two 2 hour sessions I managed to lose $4200.

I know this game can have some pretty decent swings, but I did not expect a $4200 loss. Further, the most I was up during any session was about $125. My wife played on my card for over an hour and hit 0 four of kinds despite being dealt three of kind 4x. I did hit my fair share of four of a kinds, however it usually only got me back to even. The best hand I received was being dealt 3 jacks with 10x, 0 4OAKs, 2 FHs, and 8 3OAKs, that only came after I was down $600.

I would like to achieve the next level, which I was informed would require an additional $112,500 coin in, but not at the potential cost of $20,000.

So what do you think? Bad run/luck? Bad game? Keep playing those are the swings?

Thanks in advance.

It's a very swingy game, and you have played very few hands. Once decent dealt hand (including a multiplier) and you are up big.

Remember that, over such a small number of deals, your possible results are not normally distributed.
