I just got a royal flush on the Wizards iPhone video poker game playing Jacks or Better. I was hoping I'd get prompted with a secret word to join the Wizards Royal Flush Club, but it appears that only happens on the wizardofodds browser based java games. It would be cool if this could be added to the iOS game.

On a side note, I am really loving the app. It is making it very easy to learn the fine tuning required to go beyond the basic strategy. My first 1000 hands I made 46 errors. The next 1000, 22. Now I am down to about 10-14 per 1000 hands. The hands that get me the most often is a 3 to a straight flush, with an ace, and 2 cards 2-5. For some reason, my mind doesn't make the straight flush connection, and I usually hold the Ace.

This really makes learning the new games so much easier, too. I'm comfortable with Bonus Poker, and getting there on Deuces Wild. I've sent a link to the app to all of my friends and family that like video poker, telling them it's a bargain at $9.99.

I like the app for its tutorial aspects, but I was hoping for realistic feel true to the actual game.

I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but if you hit the Pays button in the upper right it will show the paytable instead of your playing statistics, which makes it look and feel a little more like a physical video poker machine:

By realistic feel you mean...? If it's actual randomness, I can guarantee the Wizard's app will do that. The java games I play on the site definitely do. Scot just hit big hands on the shots he posted, and you can question on how "lucky" it is since hitting big hands is worth nothing. Sorry Scot. :( I'd rather save my big hits for the casino. :) Yes, I know it doesn't matter, but thinking it does makes me feel better. :P

I've easily played over 50,000 hands... I don't think my results are out of the norm.

If those are just "session stats", then I stand corrected. My phone is too dumb for this program. :(

More so like the Best of Video Poker app. To clarify the play is good, realistic odds, and great practice. But I wanted the imagery to be identical to the actual games.
