I go to Mardi Gras Casino tonight with 0 cash in my wallet, just a Players Card with $35 in free play. I plan to do 35 $1 spins in the high limit room and think if I can even get $10 out of it, Id have done well. Well on about the 30th spin, I hit for $400. I play the last few spins down and cash out my $400 ticket. If I stop there, thats still crazy lucky and extremely low odds of happening. $25 into $400 aint easy.
Well, as I am cashing out, I see they are opening craps. Thats my game and I havent played in weeks! So I take the $400 and buy in. I play the donts and start with $5 line bets and $30 odds behind just 1 number. Well...this is the coldest table I have ever seen in my life. Great for a dont player. I kept playing, kept pressing. I was to the point I was doing $50 line bets with $300 odds. I ended up cashing out at $2,125. Keep in mind this is all from $35 in free play!
So, I take the $2100 put it in my wallet and say to myself, hey this is my lucky day, obviously, lets see what this $25 can do. I so I put the $25 in Rakin Bacon slot machine at $0.88 a spin. On about the 4th spin, the pig busted open. I figure Ill win the $10 mini or the $45 minor at best. Nope! I hit the $900 major! INSANE!
I turned $35 in free play into $3,000 real money!

The odds are maybe not as insane as one might think. If you'd set out to achieve that or lose the 35 trying, your probability of success would have been of the order of 1 in 100 if we make some allowance for house edge.
Oncedear's rule of thumb
Ignoring house edge, P <= 35/3000 = 0.0116 = 1.16% or 1 in 86
So I guestimate 1 in 100 with house edge or maybe 1 in 150 if those games had a high edge.
My very first Blackjack session in 2014 was similarly lucky where I turned 100 into 6000
