After this last trip to Vegas, which was five weeks long, I've had several vivid dreams about gambling. Although I won in the dreams, so they were not objectionable per se, I don't like that I've had Any dreams about gambling. Somehow the whole thing really got inured into my psyche, and I suppose five weeks in Vegas would do that to anyone but still, I don't like it.

When I started up gambling again two years ago I didn't have any dreams about gambling and now all of a sudden after this last trip I've had something like 3 dreams over a two week period. It's to where I don't want to go back until the dreams stop entirely.

I've been that way with many behaviors, if I realize that something is occupying my thoughts excessively I tend to drop whatever the activity might be.

I'd like gambling to be something I do, like deciding to have a cup of tea after handling the morning's business and breakfast, versus Needing that cup of tea or coffee just to get out of bed. Some days I don't drink any tea, and I rarely drink coffee anymore.

I define Dreams as subconscious reflections of our innermost fears and desires. Dreaming about gambling can include both. If you are winning in you dreams, then you are an optimistic person and your positive subconscious thoughts dominate your negative subconscious thoughts. If you're winning in real life and winning in you dreams, well.. welcome to the club , pappi!

About twenty years ago, I started hearing the Wheel of Fortune theme in my dreams. I couldn't decide if it meant I was obsessed with the game or if it was a sign of a.huge win to come.
In any event, on one of my next bus rides to Atlantic City, I found a Jerry Patterson book on blackjack and channeled my obsession into playing that game.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.

If you want to learn something new in gambling or about gambling, go to the casino during the day and tell the dealer you want to learn the game. That's how I learned craps.

Otherwise, it sounds cliche, but take only what you can afford to lose. Consider it paying admission for a game you wish to play. Write it off as soon as you start. Blow your wad? Leave. Forget you have a credit/debit card.

I had a dream that I got a hand written letter from a host. There was a "your" but it was crossed out and replaced with "you're". Unfortunately, neither were correct and it should have been "yours".

I used to have recurring dreams of going in the Vegas casinos I scouted and being distressed to find they had removed the games. Not just a few games, but all of them.

This was when I lived in Vegas and was in a casino pretty much everyday.

Always the same thought, 'why is this a casino?' And then walking from one big room to another.

I had a similar dream

I went into a few different Atlantic City casinos and all the games were removed

nothing but big empty rooms.

First the Claridge and then the Showboat.

Oh, wait a minute, those weren't dreams

Real life.

I don't see how you can be out there for five weeks without a break. After 3 full day, 4 tops, I burn out. Real life would be screaming at me to come home too.
