Trip to the Upper Peninsula

Thanks for posting that. I grew up in NE Ohio. I remember when I was about 7 years old my parents took me and my brother up there to visit some old friends of my Mom. I can't say I remember much about the island itself except for the horse carriages and fudge my parents bought. The main thing I remember is back then my Dad had a pickup truck with a camper on the bed of it. My brother and I had so much fun riding on the way back despite the long drive. Your trip report reminded of a childhood memory that I hadn't thought about in a while.
