I aplogise for all on this thread, you may be a new member to the site and have come in at a bad time. There was a massive betrayal, bets welched on and travel expenses wasted. Everyone, including myself as a new member just before the chaos started. I believe we all enter into new threads by new members with trepidation. You arrived posting on this board in a way it takes members along time to be comfortable with. We are all suspicious of new members after a certain date. If you are solid, give it some time.... If you are solid, you will be welcome, it just takes time.

I found Lion a bit rude and difficult to get along. It seems to me"My way or highway style". If you look down at other members, please dont post here and go somewhere else. I am pretty sure you will be welcome there.

As a longtime advocate for better treatment of our new members, I find the "welcome" extended to lyon457 off-putting and fraught with innuendo. Many here are on edge, ever vigilant to prevent another onslaught by you know who. Along comes lyon457, a colorful sort, who obviously enjoys a good time. He shares his Atlantic City experiences with us and suspicion is immediately cast upon him. I count no less than 30 posts to or about him that range from unfriendly to downright hostile.

I don't see anything that screams out that he is Baccaratfrom79 but I do see evidence that he is not. I see different writing styles, no mention of baccarat and more than a passing knowledge of AC and NYC. I don't see the taunting or the creation of numerous threads. That doesn't mean that lyon457 hasn't been here before but innocent until proven guilty?

Sure his stories raise eyebrows and his weekend timeline is odd. No, he didn't respond to each and every question posed to him. Quite frankly, I wouldn't either and I don't think many would. I could be wrong or partially wrong but it's too early to know. If I am wrong, I stand ready for my helping of crow. In the meantime perhaps welcome him to the forum as I have.

Really, there is no choice short of the smoking gun. I'd say I haven't seen it smoking but detect a bulge under the coat LOL.

I could course of action might be to block him [if you need to], but make a mental note to check back and see if he gets busted, gets less irritating to you [if he is], etc.

There doesn't seem to be much hope for an improvement in the writing style IMO. Personally, I'm not bothering to read those posts, but havent blocked them yet.

Time will tell. He could be legit or it could be the con of the century by someone we all know, someone we would least expect. I mean the very last person we would expect.

Not much attention has been paid to aceman511 who has a blog up now. That one seems a little more obvious.

We have a brand new member named Glenn. Is he going to get flak for sharing the same name as our hero? Just how far should this be taken?

It seems to me that someone trying to come back from the banned would try to change his writing style and habits as those things give you away. But Lion does play large in the Bac79 tradition. The needs one needs to fill will come through; you can't change that. Watch the tapestry grow. It will eventually reveal itself.

The unfriendliness has usually been directed only at the insane unwanted system bettors who never take the advice they are given. They usually have some agenda.

You can usually tell if someone has an honest legitimate question (even some of the system bettors have legit questions). Quite often the people who members are unfriendly to are wackjobs and puppets. I'm not saying its right or wrong, just explaining what I have noticed.

Seriously you don't see it in the lion? This isnt a murder case (yet anyways) we don't need beyond reasonable doubt.
How many of this guy's aliases do you want us to welcome? I'm confident it's him, or at least someone he has put up to the task. Who knows what kind of crazy people he knows and works with. It was fairly evident when he started talking karma stuff to AOS, that was the fist post I took notice to.

B79 was also colorfull. There are lots of other small clues, i'm not going to post about them. Why tip him off? I did notice that he mostly avoided me.

No one seen evidence when he pretended to be a host, yet it was obvious to me from his first post.,and I made it known (including the other names that Face finally got evidence on). We had people asking him host questions, including the Wizard.

Many people believed he was actually a host. IMO that could have unwanted consequences on unsuspecting gamblers.
I WAS REALLY IRRITATED WHEN ONE OF MY PERSONAL FRIENDS ASKED HIM HOST ADVICE.

IMO AOS was legitimately concerned this time. Especially if this guy was truly in AC at the same time he was.

I suspect a few other names as well, however he seems to be keeping them in check.

I won't feel guilty when I think its obvious. I would rather be wrong occasionally and not have a board full of sock puppets and crazy people eventually taking over and running off guys like AOS. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

You bring up very good points, Axel. I may not be cut out for detective work after all. I suppose anyone who reads the mounds of information available could put something together. Other than mental problems what is this guy's motivation? We know who he is and everything about him and we've busted his lies. Usually these guys move on and start grooming the next people on the list.

I also agree with this... unless you're a super high roller and can "buy" your way to a room, there's no way you're getting one on the fly when the rooms are sold out welllllll in advance for memorial day weekend, unless you get one of those $20 rooms at the skeezy motels outside AC on 30..

I stayed at a suite at CP during the superbowl, and I'm not a high roller. Also I'm staying at another CET property right now without dealing with a host. I'm just above the minimum requirements for 7star.

Never said that I or my friends play unrated, I think that member bob said that. We eat and most of the time stay outside of the casinos, at least in AC. Seldom ask for anything and save whatever we have for comps just before they would expire. We do know some people working there and have host contacts that we seldom take advantage of. I did say I have seen so many players spending hundreds if not thousands and then boast about getting some $89 room or a $15 grinder or burger. AC was not compeltely sold out. Read the blog page i put up because it touches on all this. I did not claim we were comped a room or a suite but I did say someone took care of us at Caesar's and they did. What does it matter how much or how little we paid? I am so glad this clears the air and you are comfortable now :)..........

You're probably a fine detective, but since you're an advocate for the better treatment of new members you're trying to look for reasons they are legitimate new members.

Who knows what his motivation is, Probably Loneliness and boredom with a need for attention.

It seems as if he wanted to gain AOS like popularity at the beginning. Perhaps he had a crush on him or just wanted to be like him. I think he started out as wanting to be a respected member of the forum community and make friends.
What better way to grap the attention of successful person who's a mid level gambler, than to pretend to be successful and a higher level gambler, as if they have something in common? I believe he is a baccarat player at lower levels. I believe he works for a small highway spill cleanup service. He's probably a manager or something or works closely with the owner. He's probably been to vegas riding on the coattails of someone with actual high roller status. Or though some strange series of events.


It's obvious he was at least lurking for a while, because one of his first post was scripted and he made sure to include a disclaimer that he wasn't some crazy baccarat system player. He didn't want to start off with anything that might be criticized or poison his new persona. It's as if he came up with the perfect story (to perfect IMO)

It was working for a while, but it went to his head and he wanted more attention. So he kept making up bigger lies, probably thinking everyone would just take his word for it.

He really disliked when people call his lies into question and got angry.Intentional liers who are trying to prove something about themselves get really upset and will go to great lengths to convince people . I don't think hes a pathological liar because they usually don't react like that, they just act as nothing has happened and continue to lie about other stiff. This guys lies have purpose.

Once he was found out to be a fraud he become desperate. Eventually he entered crazy town, because at that point he had nothing to lose.

Why he doesn't move on is anybody's guess, maybe he feels betrayed or something by AOS and others he befriended and want payback.


Perhaps he hopes he somehow still find a way in so he keeps trying, however, as someone pointed out, he can't easily contain himself. Even though he probably has one account he's been grooming in the meantime. Probably in a BJ/ or craps thread asking meaningless questions.

Nobody has meet him in person, so potentially he could still have a chance to get a face to face meeting. It wont be hard to see though him. He didn't seem particularly charming or convincing to me, but some people are easily charmed(How do you think Bob found a wife? (-; )

I also like how you call them a mod when their title is technically admin. I would think a new member would use the terminology that is shown on the screen but that is just me.

There was another thread or two where the ADMIN/MOD did just that, I read it and that is what I was referring to. I also read on this forum where people have referred to those 'managers' whom are 'admin's' as MODS. Gee, do I have to raise my hand to use the restroom as well? I am not in your foolish fight once again. In fact, really not worth engaging here and the enjoyment level is dropping rapidly.

I'm not convinced either but I sure am getting a kick out of it. Are the greens working overtime behind the scenes? Has the secret administrator been pressed into service? Has Jack Bauer been called? :-)

That was unusual. I looked at him several times before the sale, and he had buzzpaff and buzzard showing linked, but had been given permission for whatever reason to transition from the first to the second years ago. The aladyat42 and whatever else predated the sale didn't link to him until after he had been banned. I have no idea how or why that happened, though at a guess maybe he signed up from some casino IP or McD's or someplace years ago and just left the account(s) alone.

If I remember right, and I probably don't, Busspaff was a name he was known by in real life. He wanted to be more anonymous. I could be wrong, but I remember when he got permission to change. And *think* that is why.

That sort of makes sense. Thousands of archived posts have that first name on them, so hopefully it's not a problem I mentioned it again. Though he always published his full name, phone number, email(still there as buzzpaff) in his buzzard profile; I thought he didn't believe in hiding behind anonymous names.

Can't you implement something that automatically kicks in and silences newbs for to many posts with a manual override? If it's some mind blowing post then cross that bridge when you come to it.

I think I know when and for who this was changed.
