Face up vs Face Down Pai Gow POLL

Not trying to duplicate a recent thread, but really wanted to see poll data around this. If all things were equal would you prefer playing a Pai Gow Poker game where:

1. Cards are face-up showing you exactly how your hand needs to be set (can't screw it up)
2. Cards are face-down, giving you a real decision as to how you set your hand.

Assume both versions have a similar edge, not trying to compare the existing games, but whether players want the "perceived edge" or the "interesting decision".

People in this forum are big-brained and do not represent the average "degen" gambler, so I assume 75%+ of people who vote will vote for Face-Down because they prefer strategy. This may or may not correlate with the real opinion of typical casino customers.

I miss the face-down version. When it’s face up, it feels like you're just playing a pre-determined game with bells and whistles. My joke about slot machines is that after you push Spin, it should just say in plain text “You lose.” Or “You win $1.25”

I have been loving Face-up Pai Gow all the way. I believe it’s a clear direction for modern casino games. I am all for face up because I believe casinos are a place for drinking and losing a little for big fun.
