I've been using Wizard's UTH game (https://wizardofodds.com/play/ultimate-texas-hold-em/) and basic strategy (https://wizardofodds.com/games/ultimate-texas-hold-em/) to refresh on UTH.

I had the hand below and tried to raise based on the recommendation in the BS link: "Four to a flush including a hidden 10 or better to that flush"

The game threw an error saying this wasn't the best play. Am I misunderstanding basic strategy or this some edge case where raising has worse EV than checking?

probably just a marginal case

the calculator will reveal all. I'm not checking it out but probably it doesn't matter what you do a whole lot in this case. Certainly don't try to learn about why it is an exception and try to memorize it

Follow up question:

I got an error saying checking here isn't the best play.
Is this another edge case with the inside straight draw?

check it out on the calculator. If you get a different answer, make sure you're not getting a message while playing recommending you ignore advice. The 2x stage seems to be vulnerable to wonky connections

Ah thank you - looks like both were marginal cases.
Appreciate the link
