There is a guy I see on the craps tables quite often. I kid you not, every time he buys in a puts his first bets in... it is a 7 out. I had a conversation with him the other week and asked him how things are going. He told me that it has become very suspicious how every time he puts his bets on the table, the 7 out comes. I believe him because I have witnessed it. He was down on his luck as asked for a few bucks. I never lend anyone money typically, but I know this guy was good for it. I told him to switch up the table. So I walked with him over to the other table. The numbers were flying. He eventually puts his bets in, and it happened again. 7 out right away.

He said that this has been happening for the past month .... Now part of me wanted to lay the point when he bet, but that is not my game. I saw him the following day. He paid me back. He proceeded to buy in and put his bets across the board. (I went off on my bets)... and the 7 came again right away! It is very odd. He then only had enough money to put money on the inside numbers (5,6,8,9). The ensuing numbers rolled were 4,4,and 10, then a 7 out. Crazy!

Im not sure that the whole variance jargon applies here. Its either bad luck, bad energy or bad dice.

He mustn’t think he calls the 7 strongly enough to bet on it. Or you would be telling the story of positive variance (good luck) rather than negative variance (bad luck).
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; but that is the way to bet.

Well then explain the mathematics of the game and stick it out until the variance swings his way.

If he's making him nuts, just get him to switch games.

you are 'not sure' a lot, imo
why?

what is this all about?

you do not bet to win money when 'an opportunity' is there.
neither does the person (or events) that you seem to have made up, imo.

keep trying to hammer that large square peg into that small hole.

I saw a Blackjack dealer get 4 Blackjacks in a row
and only 2 players left the table.
wow!

Oh, yes, winning money at craps (playing only one system)

Any predictable pattern in Craps would be a huge opportunity to cash in. Why didn’t you at least make a Come bet if you knew the guy was a 7 magnet?

Maybe because @ 5 out of 6 rolls are not 7?

That does seem like an awful coincidence that he gets so many 7 outs. I'd say he is jinxed but I know that many people don't believe in jinxed(Although I do truly believe he is jinxed).

Lol.. Silly mustang.. why on Earth would I change my style of play, based upon someone else who has bad luck, when I am highly consistently successful with the way I play . Now at times I do switch up my Play and play the don't when I feel a table is extremely cold and all the dealers warn me how cold it is. But regardless of the way I play the table, the common denominator is always walking away when I am up.

As far as making up another alias, I have better things to do with my life.. Apparently you and X may make up names therefore feel others do the same Shenanigans as you. Nice try.

When I observe something that is unexpected -such as the pattern you see of 7-ing out every time some person makes an initial wager - I try to brainstorm any possible explanation for what I am seeing, no matter how unlikely.

This observation that you report is interesting, but other than coincidence can you think of any other weird (but rational) reason why it might be happening? I can't.

As the post reeds.. Bad luck, bad energy, or bed dice. Those are the only three possibilities.

The fact that I witness many of them and I believe him when he says it has happened 20 other times, I don't think it is a coincidence. Additionally, when he bet the inside numbers and was hoping for any inside numbers except the four and the 10... and the 4 and 10 came out 3 times just prior to the seven out.. this doesn't feel like a coincidence.

The smart or self-proclaimed smart people here say why not fit the 7 instead.. it feels like anything that the guy wants the opposite happens. If I see him tomorrow I will fade his bets and Report.

There is also the theory of liquid magnets in manufactured dice and craps tables with sensors built into them.. But I'm not buying into that theory just yet, although when big money is involved I don't think anything is impossible.

It only proves more and more that the way I play is the best way to play the game.

Based on everything said here, it is great luck, great energy, and great dice. There is a lot of data showing that, for him, betting the don't pass and any seven is hugely profitable. Not betting the table max on those bets for 10 hours per day after this was discovered is simply a very bad life choice.

Bad Toss ,Bad Luck, Bad Dice-----This frustrating/aggravating situation probably has occurred to all of us at one time or another. The quote that I'm reminded of is: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results."
I'm a firm believer that in this predicament we've got to switch to another playing strategy like "The Dark Side," as many have said.
Once a point is set, let the 7 roll next...your winnings will typically be small and patience is important. If you get two numbers in place and then the 7 rolls, well, feel yourself blessed--you made out a little better. I constantly debate with myself whether to limit my Place Bets to the inside numbers or include the 4 and the 10, as well as how much to bet. Or maybe, just the 6 and the 8, after the Come Out roll.
Who knows which way to go before the roll---oddly enough, I can tell you exactly what I should have done after the roll---dah.........

Out of just being "pissed off" don't go crazy and bet $100 in the Field, as a last resort bet, or an "I'll show you!". Maybe it's time to take a brake from the table. Go eat lunch. Switch games completely (Roulette or Black Jack), don't roll, let the next guy be the shooter, or go home and come back another day refreshed.

We all want to win, and some days we're hitting on "all cyclinders." But---other times we just can't catch a break. Remember, it's supposed to be a fun diversion, play smart, and play within your budget. That way you won't beat yourself up.

( I know, I'm sounding "soupy"---please forgive me....).

Lol...lmao! WTF are u smoking over there Sally? You found an old post which does not contradict anything I have said.

So I didn't post for a long time does that mean that I was still engaged in this form somehow? You accuse me of writing under another name? Please find that name for me because I would love to see who you think I was or am? Comical you are.

And now you accuse me of hitting on you at a craps table? LMAO again! I consider that a personal insult. For all I know you could be a dude masking as a woman who claims to know Sports. Is this your alias? How many different user accounts do you have here? That is the real question.

As far as bedding big bucks laying against myself and my friend, then that comment actually validates the idea of bed energy having an effect on the craps table and dice outcome... Otherwise you would just play the way you normally play and let the dice do what they do. However you feel that our bed energy is something you can capitalize because we are affecting the dice somehow. So thank you for validating one of my possible theories... along with others who said the same thing.

Now if you really want to win, by my pics for only $199 for a week of mlb winners! Surely this is just peanuts for you since you obviously know it all and must make lots of money from your know-it-all ism.

Its was a good day!

Quoted for the bolded bit (which I bolded). Hilarious Freudian slip for “bed energy” given context of discussion of the he said, she said on hitting on someone at craps table.

I know you meant “bad energy”. That’s why you actually writing “bed energy” is hilarious.

Right. That’s actually exactly what I said the first time:

Which I guess makes your response below . . . hilariously ironic.

II kid you not, every time he buys in a puts his first bets in... it is a 7 out.

Every time? Without exception? A 7-out every time? Or are you kidding? Maybe there was that one time ... long ago ... vaguely ... he did something other than 7-out. Selective memory can play powerful games ... be it yo's or blackjacks or 7-outs. Incredible claims demand incredible proof. You want to claim a teapot is orbiting Mars? This has occurred, as I stated, over the past month for him. I personally witnessed over the past 10 days at least 8 times that it happened to him right away. I did not witness anything other than that , which may or may not have occurred out of my presence. I dont stay long enough to see hours and hours of play. I take him at his work when he says it has been happening regularly over the past month. Im sure he may have seen a box number here or there, but I cant confirm that.

He believes there are liquid magnets and/or sensors in the craps tables with alter the randomness of the rolls. I never believed in any of that, but anything is possible when big money is involved. Everyone always has an angle and until it is proven we will never know. eg, who would have ever thought that Ivey and Cheung Yin Sun had that edge of knowing what the manufactures had printed on back of cards? Most people that that they were just geniuses in Bac and / or very lucky.

I fool the variance with my style of play . Play high probability of winning on each roll (84%) and lay the chalk at 4x. Do it a few times and walk away . If I get hit right of the bat 3 consecutive times, I dont chase. Live another day.

This sentence makes no sense whatsoever. You can say mathematical nonsense and believe it has meaning, that does not make it so.

Let me rephrase it, I guess I defy the -EV within the game of craps because I win consistently... much more than when I lose, which is seldom.

You can make whatever claims about your own results you like, that is completely uninteresting to me. Go ahead and claim the earth is flat as well. I really don't care. I don't know why I am even involved in this thread -- so goodbye.

If you win consistently over time, then by definition, it is not a negative expected value. Use the formulas presented here: http://www.statisticshowto.com/probability-and-statistics/expected-value/

You will see that the expected value for what you are playing must be positive.

You can do the same for the person you wrote about originally and you will see that just by betting on the don't pass and any seven it is a hugely +EV game

you've been posting for a long time and I think I have seen all most all of your posts* about Craps. I've never seen such drivel from you before and have to wonder was this a put-on to get a rise? I think maybe a few of us kind of waited to see, but now this thread is heading back out to sea ...

Have you somehow missed all the commentary about how no combination of negative expectation bets can result in positive expectation?
