I went to a casino on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi on Friday, and they had a $3 craps table! It switches to a $5 table at 5 PM on Fridays, and stays like that all weekend, until Monday it switches back to a $3 table. It was awesome! I played for 3 hours and only lost $45!! The only problem is that on the place bets ($3), you only get paid even money because they don't have 50 cent chips. Do they have any $3 table in Vegas?

Slots a fun on the strip always has $3 craps, as does Casino Royale I believe. DT casinos offer $3 craps on slow times, and it think ElCo has it all the time.

Do they have any $3 table in Vegas?

I'm told there are several downtown and a few threads here have mentioned which places. I'm also told that the Westin has a Happy Hour from 5:00pm to 8:00pm during which there is 3.00 craps, 3.00 blackjack and 50-cent roulette. Outlying places have such bargains all the time but treking to Hendertucky for a one dollar table is not worth the time or the effort.

Note: At the Palace in Biloxi, you can do Place bets for a higher amount so as to avoid breakage even if you staying at the lower 3.00 minimum amount for line bets.

Downtown Vegas as of last week has Binions, Fitz has $3 during the morning hours during the week only.
El Cortez is $3 to $1000, 24/7
The Freemont has one $3 to $3000, also 24/7
Golden Gate has $3 to 300, also 24/7

I played a $3 game at the Sahara in January. I placed numbers for $5 or $6 but the best part for me was being able to play 5x odds @ $15 or $16 on the 43 come/pass bet.

Downtown minimums on weekends are $5 and $10. Casinos with more than one craps table usually have only one $5 table available.
The Freemont with $3 min 24/7 is very crowded on weekends

The Palace. Not to be confused with the old Imperial Palace which is now known as The IP. This is The Palace.
I liked the place.
Very nice people. The casino was then a bit crowded but very nice.

They have advertized a Monday thru Thursday guaranteed 3.00 craps and BJ and guaranteed 50 cent roulette for almost two years now. If things are slow they will sometimes extend it beyond Monday thru Thursday. Their rooms are said to be cheap Mon thru Thursday too but I've not stayed there.

I've not eaten there but one person I know well rates their food very low.

If you join their players club besure to earn ten points on it and THEN swipe it for a ten dollars in free play to one thousand dollars in free play bonus on your first day as a new member.

They offer in addition to 21 this 21plus3 game.

there are circumstances where the Big 6 / Big 8 might as well be what you do. I never make place bets myself, but at any table, if you forget to put up $6 or $12 and instead do $5/$10, the Big 6/8 is for you!

Don't most places have 50c chips? Its a requisite for the $5 BJ tables, so I always assumed such places would have them at the craps table as well.

In Biloxi, I played a $3 craps game at Boomtown Casino. First time player's club members get at least $5 in free slot play. I went on a Wednesday, so I don't know if the $3 game is available at all times.

I'm not what you'd call experienced, but I've never seen any. At Excalibur they use quarters in the Pai Gow Poker tables to pay off bets minus commission.

Thinking a bit more about it, I may have seen $2.50 chips at $5 BJ tables.

I have occasionally seen $2.50 chips at blackjack tables. More commonly, they have 25- or 50-cent coins in a rack to pay out the fractional dollars. The last time I can recall seeing fractional chips at a crap table (note the adherence to my preferred crap/craps usage from another thread) was at the now-demolished Nevada Palace on Boulder Highway. They had 25-cent chips which I initially mistook for $25 chips. I couldn't understand why some people were placing $3 line bets and $25 prop bets. :-)

Back in January, I stopped at the Hacienda in Boulder for a few minutes. They had a half table operating as a $1 crap game. I did not notice whether they had fractional chips, but I think most extreme-low-limit crap games these days just have short payouts where things don't work out evenly.

I have to quibble with you Doc. I think the El Cortez (and possibly a few other places mentioned in this thread) does have quarters on the crap(s?) table. So if you wanted you could place the 6 or 8 for $3 to win $3.50 or buy the 4/10 for $10 to win $19.50. I don't think they would use them to round up though...A $3 5 or 9 would still only pay $4 (it should pay $4.20).

Mystique in DBQ IA has 50c chips, although they don't like to use them. I got one yesterday when I went all in with my last of my buyin on odds for the passline. It was $19 or something goofy...he looked at it looked and looked at me I said all I got. It hit and I got paid a yellow 50c chip.

The real advantage of $3 minimum and high odds is for the pass line / come bets. You get a lot of action at a minimum HA. It would seem dumb not to play $5 or $4 on place bets.

Boulder Station offers $3 craps. Very nice for playing $3 with x2 odds and multi bets on the Come as well. If your a low roller like me, at least.

I'd still love to do this at a $3 table sometime. Suppose I'm going to have to wait until a Vegas trip, but the idea of making PL+ODDs and then constant come bets+Odds just sounds like a lot of fun. Alas, I don't have the banrkoll to do so at the tables around here. I would need a $3 table.

One can go even lower at Jokers Wild Casino in Henderson.

$1 Craps with 10x odds during the week and $2 on weekends.

I had a friend that broke-in as a dice dealer when they had 25 cent game there. A while back ago.
One can make LOTS of pass and come bets with odds there.

When they say "Monday-Thursday", do they mean 24/7? So if I went there on Thursday night around 9 PM, would it still be $3?

I was at Casino Royale Feb. 8 (Tuesday), and the cheapest game was $5--bummer, but you can still play 20X-100X odds, so a good deal if you have the bankroll. What's funny is that I routinely play 10X odds and often find I'm the only one at the table playing this high. BTW, I see players making meek plays I think because they get nervous. For example, watching an Ultimate Texas Hold-Em game, a guy was playing $25, but never made a 4X bet even with AQ suited! That's a good way to go broke in a hurry.

Several places in Colorado have $2-3 minimums and odds up to the state maximum of $100, so effectively 33-50x odds. There are a couple $1 tables in Cripple Creek, but I'm not sure they let you put $100 behind a $1 bet. That would be awesome, though.

A few indian casinos in Washington have $1-2 minimums and 10x odds during weekdays.
