I am picturing that a Baccarat Table will have several people seated, but since the term "player" doesnt mean any player gets those cards as his, that no matter how many people are seated we are all betting on the same cards for player and banker. In other words, I want to clarify that the Banker doesnt deal himself two cards, then deal different cards to me, different cards to the next player, and so on.

Funny how some things can't be simulated on these various online things for practice. You can't simulate multiple players. Wikipedia does the best description of what to expect exactly, and would seem to confirm the above. BTW I was unable to observe Baccarat at Harrington Delaware due to an apparent lack of any dealer.

I'm not sure I understand your question.

"Banker" and "Players" in Baccarat are terms for the two hands that are dealt. These terms have historical significance but just as well might be called "North" and "South" or "Heads" and "Tails".

In the old days, the shoe rotated around the table and there was actual banking going on ... not now. Whether its mini baccarat at 5.00 out on the casino floor with the fleas or large table Baccarat in the high limit room with well dressed and wealthy people sitting at the table, the terms "Banker" and "Players" have only historical significance. Its the casino that is booking ALL the bets.

To avoid confusion, I capitalize the words Banker and Player when referring to the bets, but don't when referring to the people playing the game.

I believe Punto and Banco is another way to go?

I was afraid I would find this hard to phrase. I understand your points, but I'm not sure of all the ramifications. Of course it is sort of a weird question too, but let's say there are two players, one betting on Banker, one betting on Player; these bets would be resolved on the same cards dealt, there would not be different cards dealt for different bets? Each player in turn does not wait for different cards [of course] nor are cards dealt separately for each bet. Right?

All players can make a bet that either the Banker or Player hand will win and/or tie. Cards are drawn from the shoe to form a single Player hand and a single Banker hand. All bets are resolved based on those two hands.
