Recently I saw a casino that has mini baccarat being played using 4 decks of cards on a continuous shuffler. Are the odds favor the Casino more than a traditional game with 8 decks of cards?

Due to the fact that baccarat is practically uncountable as far as the main game is concerned it shouldn't make too much of a difference.
At the end of the day the HA for banker is still 1.06%, player is 1.24% and tie is 14.36%. The more hands you play the closer you should get to these figures and get rid of variance (yeah right).

As for the casino perspective, there are positives and negatives. The game as you mention it can only be offered in the "mini baccarat" format as the cards cannot be touched by the players. This game is much quicker but it doesn't have the high end volume that the game of "Midi Baccarat" or squeeze bacc or macau bacc has.

If I were running a casino I would absolutely consider a game on the main floor such as this and I would include a few side bets on the game too just for good measure :)

I don't have any four-deck tables, but there is very little change between eight and six decks, based on the tables of my baccarat page. As you use fewer decks, the odds get marginally better on the Banker, and worse on the Player.

With 4 decks:

Player house edge = 1.2421%
Banker house edge = 1.0517%

Why is this thread in the Forum Rules forum?

Because playing with 4 decks is a "rule" rule?

I thought a CSM gave slightly better ev at BJ than normal 5 decks. Make any difference at Bac?

My simulations show that there is no significant cut-card effect for the game of baccarat.
