The Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek, FL recently introduced two tables for this game. I was wondering if anyone has analyzed the game to develop a playing strategy and to determine the house advantage given optimum play. Thanks for your help. Here are the rules and payouts:

Double Draw Poker is played with a single 54-card deck. The two jokers can be used as aces or to complete straights, flushes or straight flushes.

Getting Started - Make equal bets on the ante and bonus. You will then receive five cards.

After looking at your cards, you have a choice: Fold or stay in the game by making a “draw” bet for an amount equal to your ante. If you make the draw bet, you may discard 0, 1, 2 or 3 cards. The dealer will give you an equal amount of replacement cards.

You then have another choice: Fold or stay in the game by making a second draw bet for an amount equal to your ante. If you make the draw bet, you may discard 0 or 1 card. The dealer will give you an equal amount of replacement cards.

Winning & Losing You win if your end up with two pair or better. If you get two pair or better, your ante and draw bets pay even money and your bonus bet pays according to the paytable.

BONUS PAY TABLE

Five Aces 500-1
Natural Royal Flush 100-1
Straight Flush 50-1
Four of a Kind 20-1
Full House 5-1
Flush 3-1
Straight 2-1
Three of a Kind 1-1
Two Pair Push

dttfla,

Welcome to the board! I went to SHFL to see if they posted any strategy information there, and noticed that your description is a cut-and-paste of their text for the game; you're going to want to attribute anything like that you post on here to the author. I also checked the Wizard of Odds link, below, but the game is probably too new for Wiz to have listed it; they may not be playing it in Nevada yet. However, the game was shown this week at Raving Tables (right next to mine) as a new availability from SHFL, so there may well have been more information there that someone picked up and can share. I live in Florida, too, and may have to run down there and see how the game plays myself; it's definitely one I would like to try. See you there!
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Axel - I meant that in a friendly way since dttfla is new, but the rules are copyrighted on their site, so I thought I'd mention it because this forum does police those things. It may be a bit stringent, I agree; no offense intended.
