I am isolated in Grand junction, so i must ask?

What percentage of 6 deck shoes or 8 deck shoes do you think are in most casinos.

6 deckers were going the way of the do-do bird in CT, especially since the casino gets a better deal on 8-deck boxes of cards... no wasted 2 decks.
Some people need to reimagine their thinking.

In my limited experience (mostly WA state and Vegas), 6 decks are still the predominant offering. 8 decks and double deckers seem to be about even, lagging behind 6 decks. YMMV.

Atlantic City on the main floor prefers 8 decks, while high limit rooms usually use 6 decks. I believe Borgata is entirely 6-deck, though I could possibly be mistaken on that one.

In Vegas, it just depends which property group you are at, and where the tables are located. There are so many tables in Vegas that I think the AVERAGE would be 6-deck. Bellagio CSM machines use 6 decks, for example, and there are a TON of those tables in the casino.

In the Midwest, I'd say 6-deck is still the most prominent, but 8-deck exists on some bonus games. Double-deck seems to be making a resurgence too, though usually with worse rules or even 6:5 payouts.

Single-deck BJ is still an important game in the Tunica mix.

Thanks I am interested in what the low limit player is against, 6 or 8 deck SHOES ? 6/5 or 3/2.

Again, totally different in every market.

AC: 8-deck, 6-deck is ALWAYS 3:2. The only 6:5 payouts are on Single deck (which are making their way with a force in AC, especially at Harrah's).

LV: Depends on casino. IN GENERAL, CET properties payout 6:5 on all games less than $15, and at Caesars, that could be as high as $25. Bellagio has no 6:5 games. Everything else is somewhere in between.

Midwest: There are very few 6:5 games on shoe games, but they are out there (Hollywood Joliet). They tried it at Ameristar KC, but it failed miserably (though people played them because of the lower limits). Single deck in Tunica is mostly 3:2, but smaller casinos pay 6:5.

It's the $5 that attracts them, not the $6 payoff .
