The Browns win! The Browns win! THE BROWNS WIN!!!

only 1 win the the standings.

I saw the score 14-0 and Mayfield NOT playing, so dumb, imo
I had no interest in the game until the 2 minute warning...
and
Baker has a totally HOT girlfriend too

1st bet I ever made for them to win (the Browns that is)

I am a big college football fan and I have followed Baker Mayfield for years. The difference between Mayfield and Brady Quinn is enormous. You can never be certain that performance in college will carry over into the NFL -but Mayfield has always been highly intelligent (a word that ESPN analysts are not allowed to use), had an extremely quick release and Tom-Brady like accuracy.

Congrats to long-suffering Browns fans -your team finally won and you finally have a franchise QB. As long as Baker stays healthy, your team will be at least pretty good.

I don't admit this very often. I am from the Cleveland area and today I am not embarrassed by that.

People are talking about how badly the cleveland browns suck because they went almost two years without a win or at least a significant win until last night, but the boston red sox went 108 years without a championship win! And they were still a highly loved team for all 108 years! That's 54 times worse than the browns!

During that 108 year period, the Boston Red Sox won over 7,000 games. The Browns won 0 games in 2017 and 1 game in 2016 and 3 games in 2015. That is 4-44 in three years, a win rate of 8%. The Red Sox were never anywhere near that bad.

Hope this isn't hysteria, the Baker lovefest. Could be, people were enamored with Johnny Manziel.

Browns are 5 - 51 over their last 56 games.

Last year in the Picks contest I quickly developed two rules of thumb:

- Never pick the Browns ATS
- Never pick against Tom Brady

For some reason, though, I wasn't smart enough to always pick against the Browns and always pick with Brady all year. Oh well.

This year, I have felt the Browns were underrated by the public and bookmakers and that it was smart to pick them. But now Baker Mayfield has changed the public perception. But I see that there are still doubters . . . so maybe there will still be some margin left in picking the Browns for the next few weeks. We'll see.
