Tough, tough night. I realize that a loss is a loss, no matter how it happens. However, for some reason, when I see 2 teams lose games in the 9th., it seems to hurt more. Dagger thru the heart type of pain.... I think it's just the baseball gods making sure I know that I'm human.........

Well, yesterday made for the 3rd. consecutive losing day. So far this year, we have had 2 instances of 4 day losing streaks, and once it has gone on to become a 5 day losing streak. I am going to seriously consider doubling up if we have another losing day today.

Do you think the players will be influenced by your losing streak? I'm tailing your picks today, and I think you got a good thing going here. So it is friendly advice, but Martingale is just as effective in sports as it is in roulette.

One reason for your success could be that you've not been really clobbered by negative variance yet. What if your worst streak is starting now, and you start doubling your bets?

In several years worth of picks, I don't believe that I have gone longer than 5 consecutive losing days. If I have some time later, I'll double check that.......but that is what I recollect. I am a bigger believer in patterns. Seeing them and taking advantage. I believe that I see a pattern here.......

Rigondeaux, thanks for questioning this. I am actually going to wait until I have a 6 day consecutive losing streak before I start doubling up. Here are the stats (it was easier to get than I originally thought). It also shows how faulty my memory can be.....it's never gone longer than 6 days.

In 2013:
6 days- 2 instances
5 days- 4 instances
4 days- 12 instances
3 days - 26 instances


In 2014:
6 days- 0 instances
5 days-1 instance
4 days- 3 instances
3 days- 13 instances


In 2015:
6 days- 5 instances
5 days- 7 instances
4 days - 11 instances
3 days- 23 instances

While looking at the stats in trying to answer Rigondeaux, I noticed a bit of an oddity on +130dogs.

So far this year.
When +130dogs had consecutive winning days, they went on to a 3rd. consecutive winning day exactly 50% of the time. 16 consecutive 2 days of winning went to 8 consecutive 3 days of winning.

When the +130dogs had 3 consecutive days of winning, they went on to a 4th. consecutive winning day exactly 50% of the time. 8 consecutive winnings days were stretched to 4 consecutive days 4 times.

When the +130dogs had 4 consecutive winning days, they went on to a 5th. consecutive winning day exactly 50% of the time. 4 consecutive winning days were stretched to 5 days 2 times.

Oh my.



The mental clumping of wagers on specific individual game outcomes into "days" has absolutely no relevance to wagering results. None. Zero. At all. Especially not after further escalation into mysticism by the added magical baccarat-style thinking of days (or spins or cards or keno numbers) "in a row."

Next destination down that track? Perhaps sort them into wagers made on odd vs. even dates; or better yet, according to my sports & powerball-lottery wager consultant Madame Fatima, those dates having numerals that add up to prime numbers.

Seems to me it means the books are setting the line exactly right, splitting the difference. I could be wrong, as I don't fully understand what you're doing. Are you betting every 130 dog the books list, or only those your algorithm tells you are good bets?
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

DrawingDead, I would agree, and understand, when the decision making is subjective. I am not sure that I would agree if the decision making is consistently made on data, consistently available.
