No, they'll not.Quote: HowManyDayton Flyers are going to win it all.
You are obviously from Montgomery County :)
Kansas
Duke
Xavier
Michigan State
Champion: Michigan State
Oregon as a #1 seed seems odd to me. The Pac-12 hasn't been a very strong conference this year, but neither have the others I suppose. I wonder how far Yale is going to get?

Darn! I was hoping you were starting a WoV bracket challenge.
Quote: beachbumbabsDarn! I was hoping you were starting a WoV bracket challenge.
I have never started one of these (only joined other groups), but I will give it a go for 2016.
Link to group (WOVClarkCounty):
http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-challenge-bracket/2016/en/group?groupID=1245128
Interested people will need to register/login with the site. The group is private so a password is required to add your bracket to the group. Post here and I will pm the password (or pm me for the password). I will offer up a modest $20 prize for the winner, probably in the form of 2 $10 futures tickets. Right now the tickets will be for Mich. State and N. Carolina as they are they most selected schools to reach the Final 4 by members so far in this thread (subject to change). Brackets must be completed by Thursday March 17 before the first game starts.
I hope this is good with the rules of this site. If there are issues let me know.

Announced today at 7 Eastern on ESPN, repeated at 8 Eastern on ESPNU
The women announce one day later than the men in part because the final is the day after the men's final. There was a time when the women's bracket was announced during halftime of one of the men's conference championship games CBS aired before announcing the men's brackets.
Seriously, do any Vegas books take bets on who's going to win the women's tournament?
Almost as seriously, do any offer a prop bet on whether UConn will not only win the tournament, but win every game by 10+ points? I don't think anybody has come within 10 of them all season, and it wouldn't be the first time (and probably not even the second) they ran the season without anybody getting to within single figures.
Kind of interesting.
Kornegay has Kansas at 9/2 to win it all and Michigan State and North Carolina at 5-1. Favorite lovers could bet $100 on each of those 3 to win it all and would have a decent profit if any one of them won. Is that a good bet? I don't know. I would tend to think that in a field this large there are a lot of longshot lovers which would of course make favorites a better deal. I'm guessing you guys would say it's a bad bet.

Quote: DRichThose odds are not very good. You will do much better betting each of those teams on the money line in every game they play and rolling it over.
That's a very interesting strategy that I wasn't aware of. Thank you.
At least Cal had an excuse - their best player got a season-ending injury in practice.

How's that Michigan St. pick feeling right now?
Sorry.....couldn't resist.
Darke county here (close to Montgomery Co. ). My flyers cannot make a point blank basket or a free throw. Writings on the wall 3 weeks ago. Maybe next year, check that maybe 3 years. I hope Archie is still here.Quote: teddysNo, they'll not.

My gut says Archie will end up at Louisville.
why
because I root for upsets every game
Upsets are almost impossible to predict
Only team I am not rooting for an upset is my MD terps
How about them Terps against Hawaii yesterday
Tough game, Hawaii got game, lots of game.
Northern Iowa, what a meltdown. I still cant believe what I saw

That Panthers meltdown is probably the worst ever in the NCAA tournament. How do you lose when you are up by 12 points with 33 seconds in the game?

Hehe.. Feels like we made history! But not in a good way. At least now I know the question to the "Sports Jeopardy" answer, "Winner of the biggest upset in NCAA Men's BB tournament history, the Blue Raiders campus is in scenic Murfreesboro"

Unfortunately, I did have the Spartans getting into the Final Four. The sliver of good news for me is that my pick to win is Oklahoma and they're still in it.
Good luck with your Oklahoma pick Steel! Buddy Hield is a man among boys.Quote: steeldcoUnfortunately, I did have the Spartans getting into the Final Four. The sliver of good news for me is that my pick to win is Oklahoma and they're still in it.
Quote: Gabes22As far as my bracket, it's busted, but I can root for my Badgers! Bronson Koenig from the corner! SPLASH!
Your official bracket may be busted but your Final Four (posted earlier) is in the best shape of those who took the time to post it. 3 out of 4 still live to make it. Michigan St. and Miami losing destroyed all my brackets.

I do recall seeing this before the tournament started (maybe @ a Station casino?):
Will UCONN win the 2016 Championship?
No +700

I just took a look at it on ESPN. That particular bracket as of now (Right after the Oregon-Oklahoma game is in the top 100,000 nationally, unfortunately, with Michigan State out of it, I have no hope of winning my pool unless someone like Notre Dame wins it all. My other one I am around 1.3 million nationwide just outside the top 10% (something like 89.7 percentile) and in that one I have Kansas winning so hopefully I can turn a profit on that one, although I still had Michigan State making the championship game
