This whole thing is a joke because it was determined Fantasy sports is a skill. Now you have legal unregulated bookmakers being backed by the same sports leagues that are so against sports betting. Does anyone know what the actual vig in on these wagers? If sports betting was made legal, you would know the vig is 10% or less based on competition.

Roger Goodell deserves any negative press he gets from this for being in bed with these criminals.

It is my understanding that there is really a 'rake' and not a 'vig'. But supposedly 90% of what is paid in is paid out.

It is absolutely 10 percent across the board not including any bonus or rake back

Wow, that is worse than I thought. I had heard they were paying back 95% and only taking 5%.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

This only exists because the government heavily restricts real sports betting. People wouldn't have to look to gimmick wagering if they could simply place a real wager on the games of their choice.

Could this even be made legitimate? It seems destined for fraud or chicanery. Data will either be used to make informed bets or values will be altered to help sway outcomes.

Just like online poker, or anything else of that sort. No rules plus lots of money will always lead to crookedness. The only part I'll never understand is those who feel compelled to defend the crooks.

Just waiting for someone to come in and say, "oh that's just 'standard' because blah, blah, blah."

However, as with online poker, I think it's still possible to make money on these sites. Unless you are extremely good at it, or you really enjoy playing, it's probably not worth the work though.

Wow. That didn't take long.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

With the November Nine coming up, that is a big loss of revenue for WSOP if that is the case!

I was thinking the same thing when it hit my desk. Looks like the Nevada GC may have been planning on this for a while though and the latest fiasco kind of forced their hand.

Nevada is the last place on the planet that will tolerate unregulated wagering. They can make as many analogies to chess or stock picking as they want, but if it's got consideration, chance, and prize (and it's in Nevada), it falls under the umbrella of the NGC.
