Oh, if anyone wants a final copy of my spreadsheet, let me know and I'd be happy to e-mail it to you.

I can't remember what as the last version I posted, but this version is 2.1. In addition to it now being complete, it's a little more forgiving than other versions. It recognizes "cnfidence" (note the spelling error) as a Confidence Pick, (something that happened more than once), it recognizes "Saint Louis" as a valid entry for the Rams, "Niners" for the 49ers, etc.

Oh, and a special shout-out to AyeCarumba, who had the stones to play rather than sitting it out with the lead. I admire that.

Thanks to Mission for hosting.

I want to thank everyone for participating, and I want to thank EdCollins for putting together a tremendous program that made the game hugely easier to manage, and of course, for co-managing the game during these last few weeks.

In a few hours, I'm going to put up a thread for voting on next year's Rules and Pays.

Finally, do not forget that we have the Playoff version of this in which all participants shall be Free Rolling for $50 courtesy of StrictlyAP. I will manage the WoV Picks Playoff Game and will be posting the Lines and O/U's for every game, probably on Tuesday evenings.

In order to play, simply PM me your Picks. Remember, you must pick every game ATS and O/U, no exceptions.

If you participated in the Week 17 games by Picking or PMing me to say you were not picking, you will receive a PM reminder for this game. That will probably be on Thursday evening because Picks will be due by Friday at 23:59 EST as games are being played Saturday.

In the event of a potential tie in record, there will be eleven questions that I will ask about the Super Bowl prior to that game. All eleven questions must be answered along with the Picks or each player shall forfeit his right to any claim in a tie situation. Whoever gets the most questions right shall win, in the event of a tie in Picking Record.

BoyMimbo and EdgeLooker,

I understand the two of you have a split going on. Remember, I do not handle any of the money from other players, nor do I recommend any specific ways for you guys to seek out payment. However, if anyone who played does not come to a payment arrangement with you guys within thirty days, or, if anyone does not pay you guys within thirty days of agreeing to an arrangement, I request to know about it so such person will be excluded from next year's game.

Please make all collection attempts via PM, unless the Member in question has PM's blocked.

In terms of the $25, please PM and advise whether I will be sending $12.50 to each of you, or $25 to just one of you. I will need a PM from each of you that agrees to the terms.

Finally,

Just for the record, I will be actively participating in the Playoff version of this game and trying to win the $50. However, I will PM all of my Picks to the Wizard almost as soon as I post the Lines (to keep it fair and not see your Picks before making my own), and in the event of a tie in record, I automatically lose as I am picking the tie-breaker questions. In order to win, I must win outright.

Not really up to me, but I would like to suggest that everyone sends their money to boymimbo as the winner, and it's up to him to make good on the split. That's pretty much what everyone signed up for (sending to a single winner) and should ensure their chop stays between them and doesn't become everyone's responsibility.

First, thanks to Mission146 for running a great contest. I'm looking forward to giving all of the money back over the next 20 years or so.

I'll be figuring out logistics. Edgelooker has asked me to handle payments. Edgelooker can verify this publicly.

Payments therefore come to me. I'll be PMing my paypal information to each of you by New Year's day, and if you can't pay via PayPal, I will give you my Canadian address to send payments to. Remember to pay in $USD and to stick a $1.10 stamp on that sucker. (I take checks or money orders).

To be clear, according to the rules, payments are to be made as a minimum of $1 and in $.10 increments, or is the table that EdCollins posted one we are going to go off of?

Right, EdgeLooker probably would not be paying you since you guys have a split, so the $1.00 rule only applies to AyeCarumba. You can figure anything else you want on an individual basis, but personally, I would consider any payment either to the $0.01 or rounded up or down to the nearest $0.10 (as appropriate) an acceptable payment.

First, I'd like to congratulate the winner, BoyMimbo! Well done, sir.

Second, thanks to Mission for running the contest again, and for EdCollins for the program to help him out.

Personally, I'm happy to have finished in the top 10 (10th exactly). I was hoping for top 5 (and I was in 5th place after week 16). If anyone is so inclined, I'd be interested to see the scores for both this and last season combined. To be honest, I'm hoping I would be the combined seasons winner.

It was asked how many people welshed on paying last year. To be honest, I didn't keep track. Most people paid by Paypal or check and in both cases I had a real name as opposed to a handle of who was paying me. However, I'm pretty sure at least the vast majority paid.

I looked into this really quick.

It's not even close, you are a combined 113-68 for two seasons for .624. The first criteria is that someone would have to have played last year and have done better this season than you did, the only people that fit that description are AyeCarumba and StrictlyAP. Unfortunately, StrictlyAP was less than very good last year and still has a losing record, combined. AyeCarumba is a combined 107-85 for .549, so it's still not even close.

Interestingly enough, even though you beat him both years, the closest player to you is Vendman1 (second place last year) at a combined 91-70 for .565, despite his losing record this year.

If you recall, you were pretty close to Omniscient last year...

Hi Pierce,

I am going to sit out this week and hope that no one goes 4-1 to beat me.

Just for fun, here are the picks I would have made if there was more pressure:

Titans -7
Steelers -7
Browns OVER 44
Broncos -12
Raiders OVER 53.5

It has been a lot of fun playing. Thank you for all the hard work!

Sorry for the mess, but this update is as timely as I could make it.

Congratulations are in order to AyeCarumba! (and StrictlyAP). None of us outliers could come up with better than 60% to beat him, and I should have been rooting for Philly to cover so that Edge would have got the win rather than hoping that I would get the win with Dallas ATS.

Oh well...

Talk about a close season!

I'll be sending everyone a PM regarding payments, but just as a heads up, I prefer Amazon gift cards, but can also accept PayPal if folks prefer. If anyone can't do Amazon or PayPal, and needs to mail a check or money order, send me a PM and I'll reply with a mailing address.

A round of reminder PM's has just been sent to everyone whose payment is still outstanding. Thanks to those who have paid already. If you have paid, you should have received a confirmation email or PM.

If, for some reason, you participated but did not get a PM, (maybe I'm sending it to the wrong address) please send me a message, and I'll reply with the info.

58% have paid. I think that's weak. Cmon people. I would expect 75% at least by now.
There were a few that dropped out early. If those don't pay, wouldn't surprise me. But only 58%, that surprises me.
Copy and paste an email address, few key strokes on paypal. So easy to pay somebody these days. 58% sucks in my opinion.

58%???

That sucks. I'm very disappointed. Expected a few welchers, but c'mon people this is ridiculous. Pay up dammit!

I had no idea we had 60 days. Is that a leftover rule from the pony express days?
I paid already, stupid me, just think of the few pennies of interest I lost out on not waiting 59 days to pay. lol

I think 60 days is a lot. But if that's in the rules, so be it.

It's for the people who send a check, or something. There are thirty days to arrange payment details, and then an additional thirty to actually pay, so very few people should actually take sixty as it shouldn't take the full thirty to arrange details.

The reason that people have thirty days to actually pay is for anyone paying via any Standard Mail method, so it may be excessive, but I didn't want anyone to be publicly deemed a, "Welcher," because of a USPS delay.

Thanks for the support terapined. Actually, there are 8 (of 41) who have not made arrangements yet. Not bad after one holiday week, and one reminder.

Again, thank you to all who have quickly fulfilled their obligation.

Yes, stupid f'n Patriots. They didn't need to score that final touchdown. They could've ended the game with the first down and run out the frickin' clock.

And i paid, the full $1 American dollar. Cost me $.34 in transaction fees!

I'm hoping Mission volunteers to run the contest this season. If not, any other volunteers?

I sent mission a message a few days ago asking if he was going to. Hopefully he will chime in on his intentions. If not I am free to run one.

If we can generate sufficient interest in time, I would be happy to run this contest again. I will contribute an initial $25 to the pool and will defend said $25, though I will not be capable of winning any other prize money.

I'll do the PM thing probably on Saturday, if anyone would like to help with that, PM me and we'll divide it up by letters of the alphabet and I will give a standard PM form along with the parameters under which one should be sent a PM.

Much thanks, and I apologize for being away for so long. I'll post all the details about that tomorrow, there's really no great excuse, but I needed a little break from SOMETHING...lol It's been a little bit since very much has gone well for me.
