In general for slots, I normally choose the right most option because # Games x Wilds (or screen lines) is the biggest # and is the best choice.

But not for GE (or Scarab):
30 games x 1 wild is 30.
15 games x 2 wilds is 30. (Middle option)
5 games x 3 wilds is 15.

The RTP is supposedly the same for all three but the middle option seems best because biggest number taking least amount of time to finish?
Craps is paradise (Pair of dice). Lets hear it for the SpeedCount Mathletes :)

you can't just multiply the free games x wild reels in this case as three reels of wilds will be additionally beneficial

Raking Bacon bonus:

3 lines high: 15 games x 243 is 3645
4 lines: 10 x 1024 is 10240
5 lines: 5 x 3125 is 15625

The right most Bonus has more lines.
It also just so happens to be the biggest multiplied # thus is best.

GE and Scarab bucks this tend of the right most Bonus being biggest multiplied #

I'm trying to say that Scarab and GE are not counting lines/ways to win like the Rakin Bacon example is. You're comparing apples to oranges.

To take the Scarab example and extend it (just as an example), I'd certainly rather have all 5 reels guaranteed to be wild for 1 spin on a slot machine than have 10 spins with 1 reel guaranteed to be wild.

I cannot speak to these specific games, but if you were to see a PAR sheet for a game with a choose your volatility feature that breaks down the return (which I have never done), you could possibly potentially see that the choices are within a few one-thousandths of each other in terms of the RTP percentage.

For example some completely made up numbers, selecting 10 free games might be 95.99530403% RTP while 20 games might be 95.9920149% and 30 free games might be 95.99483492%. The average wins are very close. The volatility increases as number of spins decreases obviously.

Scarab's free game frequency is incredibly low according to information that I have never seen about it.

I choose the fewest spins or mystery on games that offer a choice, but that is probably not optimal. More free games means longer features, which means fewer bought spins, which means less money exposed to house edge.
