I sometimes play QuickHits.

you can stop the reels yourself. all 5 stop instantly like u just hit the brakes.
or you can let it spin itself to a stop.

any advantage/disadvantage of either?
it's all random, right?

They only appear to stop 'instantly'.

The reality is, when you hit the spin button, your final results are randomly determined. The wheels spin, giving you the illusion that things haven't yet been decided, as well as to add to the drama. Eventually they stop, on the position determined when you first hit the spin button.

You'll note that the wheels are spinning rather fast. So fast in fact, that they are just a blur.

When you hit that stop button, the wheels continue to spin, but only for a maximum of just under one revolution - until the pre-determined ending position is in place. But it's so fast, that it appears to be instant.

Bottom line: Whether you let them spin, or hit the stop button, you get the same result. It's just a matter of whether or not you want to wait.

yes, I've seen some of those slots where if u press the button to stop them, they do spin a little more and rest on the pre-determined outcome.

but on the quickhits I played, all 5 columns stopped dead in it's tracks the moment I pressed the button.
now after the 1st column stops by itself and u hit the button, then the machine will spin a little more b4 stopping.
