Several Indian casinos in California offer class III slots. Does anyone know if there are state-mandated minimum and/or maximum payouts on these machines, and what they are?
There seems to be some confusion about how much authority the CGCC has over their class III games, although, they do seem to have to follow state laws (eg, craps and roulette are card-based)

According to American Casino Guide, "California’s tribes aren’t required to release information on their slot machine percentage paybacks and the state of California does not require any minimum returns."

Thanks for the info.
I wonder if this is up to date though? Their information on blackjack is wrong (presumably out of date -- regular blackjack (class II, player-banked), is allowed in CA cardrooms. I have read in other places that this was not allowed as well, so I assume that this is an old law that has since been changed)
This makes analyzing the quick hits games at my local casino a lot more difficult...

Don't think I haven't considered it!
Seems like a bad idea, though.
