When playing pai gow tiles what is the average hand one is expected to be dealt. My guess would be around 5 - 7 but this is purely a guess.

Here's a quick (and not necessarily 100% accurate) count I made of 2-card hands:

Pair - 16
11 - 8
10 - 16
9 - 47
8 - 57
7 - 51
6 - 58
5 - 44
4 - 52
3 - 49
2 - 43
1 - 30
0 - 25

There are 253 pairs of 6 or better, and 243 of 5 or worse.

The average high hand is a 9, and the average low hand is a 5.
