Hi!

I'm confused by a hand of video blackjack that I think might be a bug! Or is it???

I got dealt a blackjack—ace and jack of spades, mind you—but the dealer also had an ace showing. Normally when the dealer doesn't have an ace or 10 showing, I'd get paid immediately for my blackjack, and the dealer's hole card would be revealed. But because of the ace showing, I was given the option to stand or surrender. I'm guessing on the surrender, because I didn't really look—I suppose I might have been offered the chance take insurance—neither option seems to make sense, nor would I have taken them.

I chose to stand, then the dealer showed a 2, then kept dealing: a 10, a 3, and finally an 8. So I won because the dealer bust. But shouldn't the game have ended immediately after the hole card was revealed?? Or is there some weird video blackjack rule that says if the dealer has an ace against a blackjack, the entire hand gets played out?

So confused!
