At a local casino 8 decks for Baccarat arrive at the table , all together in a plastic box. The pit boss removes them , and gives a player the blank ' End of Shoe ' card.
Using this card , a cut is made , and the deck is rearranged. The pit boss now burns 13-20 cards , and places the 8 decks in the Shoe. The Dealer then burns an additional 1- 10 cards , runs 2 test deals. and begins the play. There is NEVER a shuffle , from the time that the cards arrive from the Card Room , until the blank card is reached , after 72 - 80 deals , and the Shoe is completely played out. Is this NO SHUFFLE policy common practice in major casinos around the World ?
Your shared experience is much appreciated ...

It is getting more common from my experience, although I play very little on the main floor. Most of the HL rooms do use the auto shuffler 2 decks alternate machines. Some still do hand wash and set up but is getting less and less common. At least in the USA.

Used to be an enjoyable time to talk, make phone calls and bathroom break at the big tables when they collected the discarded cards, broke open 8 new packs and washed them. But then again, most of the big tables are going away too. Some still exist though.

I'm curious if these are manufacturer shuffled cards or they get preshuffled by the house in the card room.
May the cards fall in your favor.

From my understanding, most are using the card manufacturer. Some states require that and not the properties 'card room'. I am not sure about Vegas though, maybe someone knows. Personally, I do not think it matters as even if you know what is left, since you can win with a low , med or high card value, really doesn't effect anything. IMHO the fallacy of streaks versus non streaks in pre-shuffled card is just that, a fallacy. Personally I won more on chops/cuts than streaks anyways (meaning 5 or more repeats).

My casino is not a major casino by any means, but is a fairly decent size for the midwest. We only have mini-bac with enough spots for 9 players. We always hand shuffle the cards ourselves. We start by washing all 8 decks at once, then go through a small shuffle procedure, then flip over the first card, and then burn 1-10 more cards according to what the flipped up card is. Reach the end of the shoe, repeat the process.

It is common for casinos to use certified pre-shuffled shoes at the Baccarat tables.

Part of the reason is, at the high limit tables, players are allowed and sometimes encouraged, to handle and mutilate cards on a losing hand. That being the case, it's easier to purchase cheap cards that are pre-shuffled.

The problem comes when a certified pre-shuffled shoe is actually not randomly shuffled.

That scenario has happened at Golden Nugget AC, and has been discussed to death in these two threads:

https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/off-topic/other-casinos/10658-here-we-go-again-unshuffled-baccarat-at-golden-nugget-ac/
https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/tables/21009-cards-not-shuffled/

This case is probably why the casino the original poster mentioned does two test hands for each new shoe.

If you want to comment about that case, post in one of those threads, not here.
