So I will admit, I actually bought on book on "How to Win at Video Keno" a looooooooong time ago, haha.
However, in this book, it listed some of the paybacks for certain Video Keno..and if I remember right, some were up to like 95% payback (better than a penny slot)
Also...I get lucky on them frequently, haha.
My question is...
I know The Wiz did some math for some variants...but I'm wondering if anyone is interested in seeing what the BEST payback for certain variants (Caveman, Cleopatra, 2/4/6, 3/6/9, Super, 4Card) are...
I'm more than glad to take pictures/screenshots of the pay tables...and I THIIINK JANugget has some of the best paying ones...

If you want to, go for it. The Wiz has done the combination/probability tables for Caveman, Cleo and Super already, so it will be just simple substitution of the paytable into a spreadsheet for those games. I have no idea how the others are played though and would need more info.

Rarely they are like VP where casinos have the same games with different pay tables, but I have seen it once. Rule of thumb usually is the best pay back percentages are normally for 5-7 numbers picked. Usually progressive kenos are they say rarely in positive EV, so if you aren't able to calculate it, assume they are not. I normally play IGT's plain Keno which floats as high as 92 % depending on balls picked, but pays on the rare hits loaded up on the long odds up to $2500 per quarter bet for 9/9. The smaller hits are found with smaller pays in the PA casinos unless you play bar machines sometimes or $1 denom elsewhere. Good luck.

There are some machines called U1 that are in Dotty's, Vegas Club and South Point that tell you the payback on the machine. It goes up with each increment bet. Their keno games are in the 95-96% range as you get towards $1.

Are those the ones in Vegas with the famed 28,000 coin wins on 8/8,9/9,10/10?

I would be happy to help as well. I can do math very quickly for just about any keno you can find.
I heart Crystal Math.

OK, I sent Mike a message...I'll get the pics of the paytables this weekend.
I know Keno is TERRIBLE...but I need cover play for my 100% vP, and I think penny slots are waaay worse. (and besides they assign like 10% theo to video keno!)

I play video keno all the time. What I have found is I get the most play out of the 6 through 9 spots. I have hit plenty of 7 of 7's so that is my favorite. 8 of 9 is almost the same odds as 7 of 7 and for a quarter that gets $1175 on a full pay machine so no taxes. On Cleopatra and Caveman I always play 9 or 10 spots.

If you play for comps, some of the stand alone video keno games will give comp credits the same as slots. If you play the ones inside the VP machines you get comp credits the same as VP. So if you can, find a full pay stand alone machine that is the way to go. Also the older machines seem to pattern up better than the new ones, thats if you play patterns. Most of the machines with the older 17" screens will have the older RNG. Also there are some games out there where the machine picks 10 numbers pauses and then picks the other 10. If you see this run the other way. I have never won a penny on them.

My favorite game is 4 card. I have had some big wins on that game. Victor Royer gives the best strategy for playing 4 card that I have seen,

Wow...I never actually compared the two paytables side by side...
But now that I have..the new version with the 4x/8x bonus is TERRIBLE! The top-hits only pay 1000 coins rather than 2000 coins!
