It caused nothing but problems. It was super easy to steal money from people by just inserting your players card into a machine that had credits on it, and then quickly removing it.
Total clusterfuck. Negatively affected me in many ways. (Not as bad as OP, thank God). Maybe I'll document them later here in an edit.
My local FINALLY dropped the feature recently. Worst implementation ever.

Scientific Games also had or has a similar wallet gimmick. You just point your phone at a Slot and your funds instantly show up in the Slot. I remember saying something like, "Oh my God, what a HORRIFIC IDEA! 😱🤨😵💫😳🥶What was Scientific Games thinking with this AWFUL Wallet gimmick? What's to stop a phone thief from stealing a phone and then stealing the Victim's money by just pointing it at random Slot machines? 🥶😳😵💫😱🤨 Even a Casino Staff Member demonstrating the "Point phone at random Slots and have money put in Slots," didn't look very happy demonstrating it. He had a look of,"This is a HORRIFIC IDEA! I REALLY shouldn't be demonstrating this!" 🤨😱😵💫😳🥶🤔
I always regarded Everi as a really mediocre game development company. I was surprised by the merger news with IGT. Then, I realized that IGT only wanted them to for their payments technology. Now, Everi is being sued for unfair competition in their quest to dominate the casino digital wallet business.Quote: teddysEveri is the company that created this dogshit "wallet" app. It should never have been rolled out, ANYWHERE.

I look forward to hearing about the Everi tech failures. This is a really tough kind of app to get right, and I don't believe Everi is the company that can get it right. Can anyone provide links to stories documenting player issues?

Sorry for the delay, but I have been unable to post because of this site's anti-spam rules which prevented me from posting more than 10 times until a few weeks passed.
Anyways. That is crazy something happened to you too, though not as bad as my situation.
Do you mind PMing me what happened and what local? If you don't feel comfortable, I totally understand too.
At this particular time, I left credits in the machine -- not a ton but maybe a hundred or two? So my card was still in there, chair turned around. I get back and someone is leaving the machine bank really quickly with her card in her hand. She just about runs me over trying to get away. So I go to my machine and the credits are gone. I call tech and there was no TITO printed. So we go to video. Turns out, the woman had inserted her players card, removed it quickly, and the credits went to her electronic wallet.
So I filled out a reimbursement form and they paid me. I don't know what happened to the woman if anything.
Now, they've switched loyalty card software providers to Konami, and the wallet functionality is back. I don't know if they've fixed it. I should probably re-investigate.
PM me if you want the location.

Warning: This post from May 12 is a Rule 6 violation: Rule 6: Profanity is prohibited, especially the F word. (Amended 2/23/14 to not allow profanity at all. The previous policy was more lenient.) Above, you used an F-bomb and also the word "dogs**t. The only reason you are not being suspended is because I originally missed this and now three weeks have elapsed.
So instead I am warning you: Do NOT use profanity in your posts here. If you do this again you will be subject to suspension from the forum.
Quote: teddysYeah. I play slots, and sometimes I leave with credits on the machine. I'll go to get more money or use the bathroom or make a sports bet. Sometimes I'll tilt the chair around. Usually I cash out the credits. Maybe 2% of the time, I'll leave credits in a machine for some oddball reason like forgetfulness, doing something really fast, or just no reason at all.

I've never heard of credits in a machine going to a Player's Club Card. 😵💫😱😳🤔💡🤨🥶 I have had someone cash out my money when I was playing with my back to the machine. So, I was playing a Buffalo slot, left my money in it and went to a Pompeii game that was across from it. I turned around and someone was trying to play on the Buffalo game , the one that still had my money in it. I said,"Excuse me, my money's in that Buffalo game. The person left. I continued playing the Pompeii game with my back to the Buffalo game. I turned around to check on my Buffalo game and lo and behold, my money was GONE. I told Casino Staff about my money being gone without me being the one playing it and I told them about me stopping the person who tried to play the Buffalo game. The Casino Staff were like,"Ma'am, why did you KEEP playing with your back to the Buffalo game after you stopped it the first time?" Needless to say, I was😡not reimbursed my missing money.

I built a cashless slot system over 20 years ago and it had all sorts of protection.
Maybe this is a symptom of the casinos clients age and understanding of the process and the ability to get past the extra steps and couple of extra seconds that is actually the barriers to getting it implemented.
When you say cash out I expect it to do that… and you would have to be verbose about it and change it to “request cash out” and have some kind of asterisk that leads to a help screen explaining what request means and that they need to have their card or id in and then that’s too much extra crap.
I have much hate for 2fa and only recently added it to my bank. I know why it exists and it should. But I can hate it if I want.

It is a pain in the butt but I won't use any financial site without it.

I also feel that requiring two factor authentication/pin to withdraw and add credits is the way to go. 🤔💡😀
So the latest news, is that the company that shall not be named, was relentless in trying to get charges brought forward. They had the gaming agents to keep appealing to the higher level prosecutor once they were told no charges are going to be brought.
Finally the chief prosecutor told them it's not happening. From what I heard, the latest evidence against them was that they never filed official paperwork (I am guessing because they're a publicly traded company), stating that they had a financial loss from this.
So with all the evidence:
They never filed paperwork to claim a financial loss (I wonder if this is an SEC violation too, where they must inform shareholders of glitches/"financial loss"?)
They admit it was their mistake
It happened to over 30 people
This went on for months
They never contacted me for money back, which the contract between me and the company states must happen
They never returned my emails after stating they would contact their ACH department and get back to me
Issues are happening to this day where people's money is getting lost or transferred to another player
So with this evidence, three levels of prosecutors decided there's no criminal element and it's officially not going to go to a grand jury.
So now the civil suit can officially start rolling.

This seems to be good news for you, no possible time behind bars for this for you! 😀🎇🎉🥳 But the Civil thing might be bad, hopefully you don't have to give a big payout. 😵💫
But yeah they could sue me civilly if they want to. But it'll be like getting blood from a stone. I have no assets in my name. 🤷
And if it means filing bankruptcy, so be it. I guess I can at least clear all my CC debt while I am at it haha.
Quote: CasinoAppBadThanks Nathan! Yeah definitely good news on my end 😀

Hmm. I'm not so sure if you'll be completely off the hook even if you don't have assets in your name. They could still go after Family Members such as Spouses.. I saw a Court Show where someone couldn't pay his Child Support, so they took the money out of his WIFE'S Bank Account, she wasn't even the BIOLOGICAL Mother of his kids, just the Stepmother. Biological Mother was still alive, so it's not even like she was helping to raise a Widower's Children. She was in Court trying to get the money back into the Account since they weren't HER Biological Kids that HER money got garnished for. If you're married, your WIFE could end up being the one who has to pay. 🤔🥶💡
Luckily I also have no spouse, no children too lol.
With that and based on my state laws, I am good. Only I am responsible for this, if it goes to civil and I lose.

Looks pretty clear you knew exactly what you were doing and have left out pertinent details. Gaming companies don’t try to get someone prosecuted on a whim.
If you edit your post my quote will at least be proof you appear to be a deadbeat gambling addict who thinks he one upped the casinos.
