However, there's very limited casino type games at that site so I wanted to try some other places. I didn't really want to have to go through the whole ident process again with a credit card so I opened a Neteller account and started researching safe casinos that have the types of games I like and accept Neteller.
Well I've now gone through 8 online casinos and all of them accept Neteller for everyone "but" US players. This is quite annoying. I asked customer service on 3 of these and all of them simply said "I'm unsure".
So simple questions:
Q. Is Neteller not an option for US players for depositing in "trusted" online casinos?
Q. If it is accepted, where can I find one that has a wide variety of trusted table games?
Q. If Neteller is not an option for US, what about Bitcoin? Is it acceptable in most casinos?
I appreciate any responses.

Ouch. Good thing I only used a very small open balance. Now I have to figure out how to withdraw/close it. I appreciate the info.

I cannot give a definitive answer because I am still very confused about this. I could swear that I have seen online horse racing sites, regulated in the United States, that are now using Neteller. I thought I saw one in Oregon, also North Dakota. They appear to be back in the United States market to some degree. It's confusing.

That's why I said it's confusing, because I can't find the site in Oregon so maybe it was all a dream. lol

But I know I saw it, and I did call Neteller, and they confirmed. But here is one from North Dakota, check out their site, it says Neteller. I know there are more, but I just can't find them now. I don't think I'm losing my mind. Although I might be.

I've looked and looked and I cannot find what I thought I saw from Oregon. Maybe I am losing my mind.
Quote: DrawingDeadI'm guessing it is possible you saw PayPal or MoneyGram and then remembered that as Neteller instead when thinking of it later. Some major national parimutual race wagering operations do take those (they are licensed legal operations in the US) and they operate out of an Oregon hub. Mind you, that isn't intended to comment or disagree with you about any possible loss of your mind; I wouldn't know about that and the one doesn't exclude the other.
Nope, it was Neteller. Even if it was a hallucination, it was still Neteller. Check out that link I posted above and it is in North Dakota and has Neteller as an option. I'm not done with this, I'm going to find the link if it's the last thing I do. I opened my big mouth and now I need to prove I'm not nuts.

ah ha! Found it. In Oregon, accepts Neteller. It was not a dream.

Ok, now I'm understanding it more. I don't know why I had such a difficult time finding it. Apparently it is a subsidiary of our friends at Penn National. Ever heard of them? And it is in cahoots with something called eBet technologies/Sportech Inc, whatever that is, based in Oregon. There may be a few "skins" and that's why I thought there were more than one but it may be all one big tent, I dunno. Anyway, I digress. They take Neteller.

You may have touched on something here. I looked at Neteller's site and apparently it ain't like the good ol' days when you linked your bank account. It looks like you can deposit by several methods, including VISA and MC, but not from your bank. BUT, you can use it, have money in an account, even though you are an American. And withdrawal goes to debit cards, etc., but not your bank. Interesting. At least Uncle Sam ain't going to seize it. I dunno, maybe they will if Lindsay Graham has anything to say about it.
...but geeze. That is one obscure horsey bet mofo outfit. I mean, you might say I've been more than a bit into the thoroughbred racing game, for more than a while. Was even shacked up with someone who was one of the first hires when they originally created the national hub (in Oregon for some legal & regulatory reasons) when national parimutual simulcast wagering first started. And I have never heard of these guys before, ever. Assuming it is plural, and run by more than one guy or gal. There's a nice jacket with a few souvenirs in one pocket that I lost somewhere between here & Missouri last year if you're available.Quote: bobbartopah ha! Found it. In Oregon, accepts Neteller. EDIT:
Ok, a skin for Penn, makes sense. TwinSpires and others also have multiple skins. Here's another possibility along with that: They may just not have updated the website. I'm just speculating and not saying it must be so, but if it was simply out of date it wouldn't be the first time someone put up a website and just left it up without anyone paying attention to making updates to reflect changes for a long time. I've run into that with "information" on some Las Vegas casino websites often. Like major casinos with "information" to advertise a poker room that no longer existed and that sort of thing.Quote: bobbartopOk, now I'm understanding it more. Possible, but I could swear I called them once and asked about it. My memory ain't what it used to be. I use TwinSpires, even though I know there are some good deals (rebates/promos) with some off-shore joints. I am just so sick of going through hoops for off-shore that I don't want to mess with it anymore. It used to be great. Neteller was great, online gambling was great, I'd wake up in the morning, hop out of bed, and lose 100 bucks before I took a piss. Those were the good ol' days. I miss it.
If you have more than $25 in a deposit they will send you a debit card (backed by Discover) and you can withdraw your money and then cancel the account. I have to wait for my card before I can do that.
I think the simpler solution was to move to Bitcoin. It is accepted at a lot of places. I went through Coinbase.
Did WoN block you or me?
I couldn't tell from his post ;-)
