Was wondering if crypto is resistant to surveillance pricing. (flex pricing according to your profile) Potentially coming at us from everywhere and the stuff we spend money on.

Quote:

Wallet Address De-anonymization: Because Bitcoin operates on a public ledger, chain analysis firms can often connect a specific Bitcoin address to a user's real-world identity (e.g., through KYC checks at centralized exchanges or public transaction histories).

Wealth Profiling: Once a wallet is tied to your identity, algorithmic pricing engines can see your total balance and transaction history. A merchant's AI pricing tool could automatically quote you a higher price for goods, services, or travel if it detects a large amount of crypto in your wallet.

Payment Linkage: Even if you generate a fresh receiving address for a purchase, sophisticated tracking software linking your IP address, browser cookies, and the transaction broadcast can identify your patterns.

Was reading an article about it, and there are efforts to curtail it, but lobbyist are already trying to work loopholes into the legislation.

What do you call a law that looks like it's supposed to do something but actually doesn't?

A law?

Favor time! Billy and I made a bet on BTC price. I ‘remember’ it as I win if it hits $100k next before it hits $50k. Billy ‘remembers’ it as a win for him if it hits $60k. As it did go below $60k, he very well might have won the bet.

I’m not adept at using search here, and scouring this thread I can’t seem to find it.

Usually some other forum member finds it for me in like 10 seconds…..

It’s $67k today….

I was thinking it was 60K but will look for it. Checking the bitcoin price will give me the day, as it was crashing.

Not my post. I've said it was headed to $60,000, but never said that was the bottom.

I found this, but not the bet. Some interesting reading in this thread from a few years ago.

I can’t search for it right now but I’m 100.% confident it was if it dropped below 60k and in fact for a few minutes it did go below 60 but I think Billy said he wouldn’t count that
Happy days are here again

It might be in mdawgs thread, but I've no interest in wading through that forum. It would most likely be in February of this year.

I always require my opponent on these on line bets to be responsible for remembering. That being said, if Billy (or another Good Samaritan) can’t find the bet I’ll have to declare Billy the winner, as he does aver that he remembers it at $60k!

And it IS written down….. we just don’t remember where….

Bitcoin is under $80,000, down from $126,000, with $60,000 in sight.

Wanna bet? I’ll bet you whatever you want Bitcoin doesn’t drop to $60k this year. I think that easily encompasses ‘in sight’. Like I’ll by a gross of socks for your mission, and you’ll send me two dozen Josh Allen logo golf balls?

Offer good today!

I don't know what a dozen Josh Allen balls go for, so let's call it a dollar amount, up to $100. I'll wager Bitcoin hits $60,000 before it hits 100,000.

.

Ok. I’ll consider our bet for $25 on! As I do with all my bets here, I expect YOU to be the one who remembers it!

Plus, you're sentenced to three weeks of internment in a degenerate gamblers' reform camp for cooking up a "[for] whatever you want" bet offer at 5 am.
Nothing to read here. Move along.

Thank you Dark. I will wait for Billy to tell me which charity he wants the money donated to. I don’t think revealing he told me by pm to donate it to a charity of my choosing will get me suspended! I hope Billy publishes his favorite charity here, so possibly others will donate as well.

Good bet, Billy!
