Tampa counter looking to get on a team

Tampa Bay area, mostly 6D/8D shoe games around FL. Learning Hi-Lo and drilling daily, working toward index plays. Looking to connect with a team or serious players in the area and willing to start as a spotter. Can travel FL/Southeast. If you're running something or know someone who is, shoot me a PM.

My advice to you is to find counters at the table, to team with.
That way:
-you recognize what they are doing
-they recognize what you are doing
-you already play the same games
-you are probably playing for similar stakes
-you both know you are talking to the real thing, not some nut or other troublesome person on the internet.
I'd also recommend avoiding tests of one another. That belongs in movies. If you watch each other playing at the table, you already know you both have the skills. Testing requires a hierarchical arrangement, with the test-giver having authority over the test-taker, and that can lead to exploitative situations.
In any kind of cooperative play, you have to first make sure whatever you are doing together is worth more to every player involved than just playing solo. One of the most effective things you can do is just being at the same table. We play much faster than the muggles, and more hands per hour = more $ per hour. I've had many great sessions just working with two other wiseguys, playing two hands each, and we fast-forward through those hands like they were a commercial. You can take turns Wonging out of bad counts, or agree to share profit/loss after the session. Just don't pass money between yourselves other than in the bathroom. Better to be suspected of dealing drugs in the bathroom than being an AP team.
